An article at New Scientist explores quantum wormholes...

"Superstition created all the gods and angels, all the devils and ghosts, all the witches, demons and goblins, gave us all the augurs, soothsayers and prophets, filled the heavens with signs and wonders, broke the chain of cause and effect, and wrote the history of man in miracles and lies" ~ Robert Green Ingersoll

We do what we do because of who we are. If we did otherwise, we would not be ourselves.

As usual,  exciting, but too much for me to understand.    :s01    Still,  kudos to Tommy for the link!

I was hoping to learn something new. It has been known for many years that if warp drive/FTL is possible through a wormhole, huge amounts of negative energy would be required to stabilize the wormhole. Towards the end of the article they said space travel remains in the realm of thought experiments, but thats how it always was.

The only new information this article stated was that: "quantum wormholes offer a faster-than-light short cut to the rest of the cosmos - at least in principle."  Before it was only a theory, but I guess now it's a principle. :-/

I like the bit about it being "a delicate operation" and that if too much negative energy was used that "a new universe would be created, expanding at the speed of light"

Not much room for error then is there!

never take me too seriously
