I thought Romulus and Remus had a normal human mother but were then lost in the woods and raised by a wild wolf?

Lets be fair here ppl the thought that a werewolf is real is about as likey as finding a woman that wont spend all your money you it aint going to happen i love the thought that they could be real just like i love the idea that Vampires are real and trust me i am one of the biggest vampire fans out there but the on werewolves i know of are the 2  brothers that suffer from lycanthropy which is not the real thing were they are changed by a full moon or anger just that are really really hairy

Hey BE, I tired to find more info to post about the Werewolf myth of Rana Silvia. However, I can’t.  All I can you is I have heard this version of myth from more then one person or books.   There also another version, which implies, the shepherd and his wife that took the twins in were either werewolf’s, or their neighbor thought them to be.

I have no idea where these other version of this myth come from, but I will try to find out more, or at least post the links!

Thanks shirini! I'd love to read them! I'll have a search aswell. Did the werewolf myth escalate from this version of Romulus and Remus then?

I'm reading a couple of really vivid imaginative novels on werewolves by Kelly Armstrong, they really make you believe that it is possible for real werewolves to be out there. She also portrays a really romantic picture of their lives in wolf form. I've said this before so sorry if Im repeating myself but any werewolf fans should check them out!

Has anybody heard of la Bete du Gevaudan ?? It is the actual wolf-like monster from France (specimen available in the museum, identified as a hyena from Africa). There is also a French movie about it, I don't remember the title, but it's a pretty good movie.
