The Necronomicon is a good work of imagination. It is a story created and coined by H.P Lovecraft. Although it is a great " story ", or false documentary, which ever you want to classify it as, it is the work of fiction.

im just as open minded as you, its just ive proved to myself that the demons that your talking about dont exist, there are other types of entities that exist in our world, just not Goetic demons

Go out and make some friends. It would be a lot easier than trying to summon an imaginary entity.

That's sort of true.  However, there are those that say there was a true Necronomicon, unedited called the Al Alif.  This was before that Simon guy and H.P. Lovecraft got their hands on it.  The one that is in public print sure has a lot of made up parts to it.

Even if it is totally fake, it does have a lot of Sumerian and other mythology in it.  The Necronomicon isn't he only book to document the fabled cities of Ur.  You have to be on watch when you read any book like the Necronomicon, read between the lines.  Never take them word for word or you will be lost in the bias of the author.

A good point a friend also mentioned to me once.  The author is dubbed the Mad Arab.  Would you trust a guy with the nick name Mad Billy Bob?

I'd have to say I agree.  I won't make any sound decisions, because I don't know you.  The way you're thinking just sounds like how I was a few years back.  Depressed and looking for any deviation to reality.  Personally a therapist didn't help me, it was my research on different philosophies that did.  I always hated therapists and the such.  I know plenty of people that have found the help they needed in therapists however, not for me though.

Necronomicon was a name that Love Craft invented. He had a dream of it, and thus brought about the existance of the book in his call of Cthulu short stories. Readers began wondering about the books origins. Love Craft then realized he could spin off an entire story about the origins of the book. The Mad Arab is no more believable then Harry Potter. If you want to get into the real sources of the Necronomicon then your looking towards the " Book of the Dead ", which was scribed in Egypt which describes how to mummify persons and animals, and talks about the under world with Horus and Anubis. Although these books share a common name, they are by no means related in context.

If you could give me any creditable source to a " real " Necronomicon, and it's original author, I would look it over for you. As far as I know, it does not exist.

That's because I'm pretty sure it doesn't..Take The Book of the Dead like you said; add in Sumerian Gods and Godesses and spin it all around withed some mixed Akkadian mythology and you've got yourself the legend of a book that's captured people's imagination for a long time, but doesn't seem to be even remotely real..

How about no because I have better things to do. And there is no book that is "too dangerous" because none of this stuff is real.

LMAO  grin2.gif The bad part is you're not kidding you think you can actually summon demons!

I remember the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says: "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." I suppose we all thought that, one way or another." - J. Robert Oppenheimer.
