When does concidences stopped being concidence? It seem, especially, when me and my mom are together I have a lot of concidences, some I have rationally explained, but when does it stopped being a concidence. YOu don't have to read the three stories. Just one, or share similar experiences or thoughts.

For example:Once I was visiting friends in New Mexico. My friends always think I am really lucky especially at finding things. Like money. I always find money on the streets etc. Well, anyway one of my friends were so excited that they found $5 laying on the ground and I didn't. In fact I haven't found anything that day, I always find stuff. I went on a mission I was going to find some money, so I turned around and walked towards the car and we all drove away and went out to the middle of no where (desert like) I had to go pee, so they stop the car and got out and walked towards this small lonely bush and tripped, I looked to see what I trip over, I piled of coins, add up to $67, just laying in the middle of no where, they weren't in a jar or anything, just laying there. Not impossible, but unlikely.

Another time recently, My mom and I pull up to an small country gas station (only had 2 pumps and 4 parking spaces)in Oregon,(against the law to pump your own gas), so we were sitting, we were facing the store about 10-15 feet in front of us was the parking spaces, I notice a car there that this guy a knew drove, I really, really, didn't want to talked to him, I know if he saw me, he would come over and talked to me (I had cramps that day and wasnt feeling good). Anyway I started to see him come out of the store, I started to duck in my seat. Then this Vw bus stopped right between our car and his car blocking the view. Then gas clerk gave us the reciept. But we couldn't leave because there was a car behind us and now this VW bus infront of us blocking us in. I notice the guy haven't left yet. So, I honked the horn so the VW bus would moved. The Vw bus owner came around and said sorry but I just ran out of gas, so the gas clerks helped him moved the bus, I noticed the guy I knew was standing in the doorway of the store talking to someone at the same time before we could leave, another bigger SUV came and stopped in the same place. The guy got out and say he doesn't know what happen it just stopped and the other people who were still moving the bus (they parked the bus over to the side) they all came over along with some mexicans that we there and started pushing his car out of the way. I could still see the guy, he starting walking out of the store, and another car came and stopped in the exact same spot. I remember everyone was kinda laughting, no one knew what was going on, one of the gas clerk say "it's like a vortex". Before they started to moved that car, I noticed the guy I didn't want to see drove away. relieve. And no more problems after that.

I could put stories like this up here all day. It's strange when it happens all the time.
Do any of y'all have concidences, especially ones that feel like something is trying to get your attention, in your face, sort of speak.

Oh I will tell one more short. This was in Arizona, they have large tent like stores. I was in this tent looking at all the stuff, I like rocks and minerals etc. I wanted to know how much it was. There was only one guy there, and a lot of customers. He was busy helped people, so I waited, then I try to asked again, he kinda igorned me, I realize he is trying to make a living and there are other people there looking and considering buying stuff worth a lot more than what I was. So I was patient. I waited and asked again. My boyfriend at the time was bugging me to hurry up, nagging me. Well, after about 40 minutes of waiting I asked the man again, and he wave his hands in my face, like get away fly. I was mad, very mad. I put the rock back and stormed out of there. I was walking towards my boyfriend and this big wind guss came and blew down the man's tent and a lot of his stuff got broken and he was running around trying to fixed everything. I felt bad for the guy. All of his stuff. It's not really all that strange, dust, wind storms happen. But this happens a lot to me and it feels strange.

Wow that really sounds neat! Thanks for sharing!

I firmly believe that there is no such thing as coincidences everything is meant to be and happens for a reason. Everyday I get these seemingly meaningless "coincidences" and when I later think about them I thank my lucky stars they happened! I don't know if we make it happen somehow or if the "powers that be" have a hand in it but I just dig it when it does happen.

Yeah I love the really neat coincidences that happen sometimes. The other day I was trying to get a pop from a pop machine. I put in my dollar twenty five and nothing happened. It totally ripped me off. So I went to the next machine over and put in another dollar twenty five(thats American currency) and it spit out TWO soda's! Of course a few days later I went to get another pop in the same machine and it spit out two again, so it turns out the machine is just broken. But it seemed really cool when happened the first time!
I'm back. And meaner than ever.

Interesting experiences, Tehuti. yes.gif

I would say there are many possible strange explanations (I'm discounting all the rational/realistic ones - it's Sunday morning and I'm not in the mood to be scientific...).

Synchronicity.

Cosmic ordering.

Or you're a witch. w00t.gif Good for you.

I remember my Gran, who was the biggest witch-that-never-was, saying once that she had to be careful what she thought about or wished for, as it usually happened in one form or another.
She was particularly aversive of negative thoughts towards people. She was scared she'd hurt them.

I always kept on my Gran's good side... geek.gif

I've just been having a conversation about conincidence on another site, and I come here and see this happy.gif Make of it what you will, I'm just gonna add it to the many others that happen in my daily life lol

Edit: here's a little story to highlight it.

Thursday my mum asked if we could get them a house near us, I said sure. I went next door to ask my landlady if she knew of anywhere, even though my husband quite logically pointed out "it's a cat in hell's chance" and I very nearly did as he suggested and just said to mum no she doesn't know of anywhere. Anyways, I asked her and she said she didn't know of any offhand. Ten minutes later I was back in front of the tv and she knocked on the door with a landlord looking to rent a house on the other end of her mobile. I emailed mum letting her know Thursday evening, woke up on Friday about half ten and hadn't got a reply, 11am my parents turned up on the doorstep (they live 125 miles away) Turns out their current landlord is selling up and they've been given notice to leave. Them arriving as they did is quite amusing in hindsight, as while we were discussing the pros and cons of them living near us we'd decided that as we partake in certain smokables and my parents are a bit against this, that we'd have to make sure they rang us before they arrived on visits. Of course we never dreamed they'd turn up a few minutes later! Everyone's over the moon about the house they've now put a deposit on, and keep praising me for "sorting it out" but I pointed out that all I did was set things in motion by asking, everything else just literally fell into place.

It's simple - you are a witch. Same with me and my mum.
I only found it about this all when I was a teenager, about 15/16. As paranormal stuff was never discussed back home, but I had a great interest in it, the topic came up one day. I thought my mum, a really down-to-earth and very intelligent woman was kidding around when she told me her stories - there were plenty and far too many "coincidences".
The older I get the more stuff happens to me to.
I have to be really careful when being angry with people (which usually build up over a long period of time). I know I can cause really bad things to happen and have several times, usually within a timing of some hours to some days, including a hospital visit, car accident, sacking, etc.. i am convinced I could kill people by wishing them bad. But not only then - it seems if people dissapoint me very badly, bad things start to happen automatically. The good thing is, that I cannot only curse people, but also wish them good.

The funny thing is you mentioned this happens a lot around your mum. I can only recommend you talk to her. Especially your tent story is a good example for things possibly going on.

Btw, I know this all sounds crazy. As I try to approach things sensibly, I recently asked my mum if she believes this stuff is not happening to us, but we believe so due to a big ego (or possibly a longing for control?). She denied this. Personally I have seen too much to believe it's the ego.

If you want to talk about this, you can PM me.

And remember the saying "Be careful what you wish for".

Thank you everyone for commenting. I glad no one thinks I nuts.

Stargirl
sometimes I wonder to, if it is me (or mom) doing it or something else is going on, I don't feel like I am doing anything. The one about the gas station, the vortex like experience. Joking with my mom (my mom has lots of experiences like this too, probably more than me, though as I get older it is getting more and more.)anyway, as we starting to drive off and go home I said "You did that" and she said "No I didn't, you did that" and I said "These things happen to you more" and she said "Your the one who didn't want to see him" and I said "But you are very protective of me", we were joking and at the same kinda not. It was too surreal to really understand it.

Snozzberry,
LOL, I bet it was neat the first time and cool that you got 2 pops the second time too.

Bebi,
That is great. I love it things just fall in place. So do you have this stuff happen a lot?

So many people have said I was a witch. Which I have never really practice any witchcraft. I know a little about wiccans but not very much. I have people come up to me and say that, it is strange because I will just be eating lunch or in a store looking around and they just come up to me. I remember once I think I was in Monatana (I liked to travel) i was just walking down the street, nothing strange was happening, I dress normal and everything. This guy across the street (he looked strange) follow me and kept making symbols of the cross at me with his hands and calling me a witch. It was scary. I was very young and didn't know what was going on. I definely watch what I think, just in case I am really doing it, but again I don't feel like I am doing anything. Good thing is that I am a happy person and very positive most of the time, so that is good if I am doing it.
Loonboy-can you explain cosmic ordering and how concidences may be connected. I have an obession with the universe. I talked to the universe all the time, (it doesn't talked back or anything) just feel connected to it very deeply.

Here is something else, wondering have y'all experience this.

When you are reading something, does it come around you?

It doesn't always happen. But quite a few years gone I was reading the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. I was traveling around the United States with my boyfriend at the time. We were in North Carolina visiting some of my friends. One day we were going to the beach and on the radio a commerical came on, it said eat at "Gandalf" (which is the wizard's name is the book) so I made my boyfriend take me there. We go in and there was a bunch of little people there and this old tall man. The old tall man was making a recording of the book "lord of the rings" using only his voice. They all gather around us, and we all were talking. The man asked us to come back in a couple of days. So we did. And he gave me the tapes he made. (my house burn down a few years ago and those tapes survie, ha) We got to California about a week and half later, still reading almost done. As we were driving in Northern California we came across this sign that said "Bilbo Baggins Place", so again I made my boyfriend stopped and go there. We got there and these people had made a hobbit like place. They took us to Bilbo's place, it was just like a hobbit home, we went in and explore the area. Then in Oregon we were at this cafe and this lady came up to me (I didn't know her) and gave me this small gold ring, and told me it was an elf ring and she left.

recently I was reading "interview with a vampire". The boyfriend I have now (actually we just broke up 5 days ago over this), doesn't really believe in any thing and I told him the Lord of the rings and how books that I read come around me. He thought it was nonsense. He said he will believe it when he sees it. So I was reading the interview with a vampire in the beginning of this month. We went to the movies and next to us was some gothic people (they looked vampirish) he said that didn't count. A couple of days later, we were by a park by my house (I live in the mountians) no one is ever there, peacefully. We were sitting there and this van pulls up and much of gothic people came out. I started to talked to them and they were into the vampire scence. My boyfriend made us leave, and again he said that didn't count. So few more days passed and we got a knock of the door and It was someone who again was gothic asking us to sign something against some measure (voting stuff). Again, but more frustation my boyfriend said that didn't count. I said come on I have never had a gothic (vampire looking person) come to my door. He got mad so I drop it. days later we were out agin and I told to looked at the licence plate infront of us it said "Lestat" one of the main characters in the book. My boyfriend was tick off. and yell at me how stupid this all is and how it is childish and told me to grow up. I said I was just pointing it out because you said you would believe it if you saw it. We got into a fight. Anyway we get to the resturant and it is called "Lioncourt" which is Lestat whole named is Lestat de Lioncourt. And then we stop to get some gas and the kid or clerk had a vampire shirt on. My boyfriend was so mad at this point, we broke up few days later.

does this happen to any of y'all.

Here is the Wikipedia explanation of Cosmic Ordering:

Cosmic Ordering

I'm not sure I subscribe to it, but I do notice the similarities between prayer, cosmic ordering, ritual and simple positive thinking. huh.gif

Tehuti, you don't have to have practiced witchcraft to be a witch, as I said in the example of my Grandmother. She is a devout practicing Roman Catholic. Some people just are 'in tune' with energy and forces.

I think if someone followed me and kept on making signs of the cross calling me a witch, I'd have to turn around and run after him doing my own chanting and hand gestures... which wouldn't be anything to do with any faiths...

Thanks for the info about cosmic ordering. I think that was very interesting.
(BTW I saw that the forum dissusion today on UM latest news up at the very top was about Hobbits) I guess I will check it out.
Thanks

If what you read comes to you, then have you ever considered reading any 'get rich quick' books? blink.gif

Worth a try, no? grin2.gif

Bebi,
That is great. I love it things just fall in place. So do you have this stuff happen a lot?

Hi, Tehuti,

I can understand how that happened with your boyfriend. Very few people in my company care to learn of such phenomena.

I've posted many of my synchronous observations here, but also on Bebi's site in the Personal Experiences forum. Some of my entries are eye-rolling, "Give me a break!" caliber, but I don't like to omit any possibilities when I'm brainstorming and isolating linkages. I also have very little dignity left to lose. Ha ha!

The most phenomenal of the recent links I uncovered relates to fraternal twin girls that were adopted by my Great [Maternal] Aunt Pauline and her husband. One twin suffers from the same rare, genetic eye disease that my mother and I both have. When I was diagnosed in '93, only 100,000 people in the U.S. were documented with the disease. My mother was born in 1940 and the twins are her age. Imagine the odds merely of encountering a non-relative with the condition at that time, let alone joining the same family. My mother is also a Gemini, relating to The Twins. The eye disease is such that one doesn't learn of his/her diagnosis until late teens or early 20s when symptoms arise, so the husband nor my mother had knowledge of the condition at the point of adoption.

A woman I discussed on Bebi's site also has fraternal twins, though they are male. One suffers from a rare form of anemia inherited from the mother. The floodgates that opened from name and date links discovered through her were undeniable. I think you'll be very interested to read the thread on her site titled "Supervisory Synchronicity". I noticed that it was searchable on Google recently, so you can probably plug those two words in to reach the material more readily. Some information I didn't include there relates to another woman I met on UM. She was born in the same year as the anemic woman with the twin boys. She gave birth to her first child, a daughter, in the same year that the twin boys were born. She is a Gemini and that daughter is a Gemini, among two other members of the nuclear family who share the sign. I don't lend credence to the daily horoscopes, but there's something going on with Gemini.

Take care

LuckyGirl, funny you should say that happy.gif That side of me is always something I've been interested in, but it's more of an intellectual research rather than practical learning.

About 5 years ago my Grandpa died (mum's dad) Some strange stuff happened at my house just before we got the call and I was discussing it with my aunt (mum's sister) at the wake. She told me that my mum's a firm believer in the paranormal yet she's never said a word, and if she has it's generally that it's all bunkum. I was 25 when I found that out, imagine the surprise/shock. She also "saw" my Grandpa at the church, she was making a reading and afterwards she said she'd seen Grandpa standing by the front pews. I've been meaning to discuss things further but I moved away and it was difficult to get a decent conversation in as when we visited each other there was always people around and I didn't want to bring it up in front of others. Maybe now they're nearer I'll get the chance, serendipity again. I know the co-incidences I've mentioned revolve around my mum/family, but I think that's just because we don't normally see them that often (every few months normally) and being as them being around is so new we're notiing them more.

Tehuti, I once read a book called Crash (can't remember the author). About two weeks after I'd finished it there was a serious train crash near London on the same line and under almost identical circumstances as the book's plot.

Both myself and my husband have these coincidences happen a lot. Friday my stepdad was telling us about a reverse parking sensor he'd just bought. Yesterday mum and stepdad ran us into town with them and he ended up smashing a back light because the sensor hadn't kicked in (I suppose this could link in with my electrical appliance problem lol) That's without all the jokes about them turning up and they do... It happened this morning, they were due to make a trip back to Cambridgeshire (leaving at 11am) to pick up some stuff and I said around 10 past "so they've gone back now" and sparked up a herbal cig *cough* 2 minutes later they arrived at the front door ohmy.gif

Frank hiya grin2.gif thanks for the heads up about Google, that's made my day - my first ever Google listing! Yay!

Tehuti, wow I wish that kinda stuff happened to me!

The only kind of 'coincidences' that have happened to me recently are when I'm just thinking about something completely random, like maybe a memory or something that definitely doesn't come up in every day conversation.. and then later on that day, someone mentions it on the radio or in class or one of my friends mentions or brings up the subject that I was just thinking earlier! That has happened a few times recently but it is just weird because when I'm thinking it, it's always something really unlikely for someone else to mention. That only happened about 2 times recently but I just wish things like your experiences would happen to me! Do you find it annoying or does it make your life more interesting? original.gif
