[when.i.am.queen.]

As a typical 17 year old female, I couldn't pass up on the chance to talk about ME!

a )   Currently in yr 11; studying double major in history and maths, plus chemistry, physics, and postmodern literature (fascinating stuff)

b )   Have no formal training, though I would love to study Arts/Law once I am finished school.

c )    Am currently employed by David Jones in Home Furnishings. Whenever I tell people this, people always respond "Really? I wouldn't have picked that". Perhaps out of uniform, I don't reaaally look like their usual candidate. I use to work at Target, before one of my managers became unmanagable.

d )   I come from one of those super intelligent overbearing families, but am just mildly bright myself. I make up for this with my stunning good looks (only joking)

e )  Aside from history, my only other passion is my music. I am one of those people who have to recharge their ipods every night, or they wouldn't make it through the next day. My favourite bands include Coheed&Cambria, Jack off Jill, From First to Last, I Killed The Prom Queen and Parkway Drive.

f )   I don't think that I have ever seen a UFO. When I was thirteen, I thought that I saw ghosts. After a bit of research, I discovered that my descriptions were closer to that of shadowpeople. Stopped seeing them about two years back, but my interst in the supernatural has stuck.

g ) I like to think that I am agnostic; although sometimes the eleven years of catholic schooling gets the better of me.

• Worked in the Advertising Industry for many years
• Worked in the Radio Indusrty for many years
• Married, mother of 2 children
• I knew about my "psychic" stuff since I was very, very young (3).
• Psychic/not normal stuff/ EXPLODED after the birth of my first child.
• ((Been trying to suppress it since that time))
• Raised Roman Catholic in private all girls school until I went to University of Maryland
• Model (my first job; started at 13)
• Coached Youth girls Basketball (hobby)
• Ski Instructor (youth- for spending money)
• Cerified PSI-E Handicapped Ski instuctor (as adult)
• Ummmm, what else? Certifiably crazy at times; but really a big baby.
• Tall like Amazon Woman (5'10")
• Various pageants: Miss Maryland- ranging always in top 5 - Never won a crown
• Washington Area Ring Girl (Boxing- holds up # between rounds)
• 1st place Miss Nautilus (Bahahahaha) the exersize equipment
• An accident broke my back; multiple surgeries; multiple disc issues

The reason is because all too often folks talk about a subject like they know what they are saying. Sometimes it's because they do, others, not so much.

So post your background here, education, etc. then make a link of it and post it in your signature. That way, if you tell someone how to exorcise a demon, we can look at your sig link, and maybe read that you're a priest that has performed dozens of these ceremonies.

Keep it honest if you really want to have a discussion and not be dismissed as a kook. Nothing overly personal needed, just some basics. I'll do one.

Nor no paperwork to say who I am or what I am. I am 40, married, live in South Africa, am a part-time columnist and full time secretary. I don't believe in bits of paper that tell me who you are, I'll manage to determine that myself, over time.

I've got three dogs, two cats, five fish, one daughter and two sons.  I drive a small little VW Golf. I've got no money. I keep a very entertaining blog.  I've been on UM for round about a year.

I have experienced slightly odd things throughout my life, now live in an old mining village which is positively haunted, we have the ghost of a three year old froma bout 100 years ago hanging around the house, she's beautiful but I get the feeling she died tragically, I've not communicated with her only seen her, fleetingly.  The dogs also know there is something odd going on, so do the cats,

I am very open minded about paranormal events and occurrences, though would probably classify myself as a sceptic, bcecause I don't just believe whatever is thrust down my throat.

I'm of above average intelligence and have a real gift with words and intuition.

I intend ot be famous from my book one day, and reture in peace to do what I want.

I am a 52 year old citizen of the world who grew up on a mega farm. Married 2 (very grown) children.

My degrees are in educational science and psychology. Have never worked near anything I studied but as photographer, writer, editor and publisher of print media and books.

I live on a Greek Island and am considering to go into full time bee-keeping cause my 80 hives make me about as much money as publishing (well not really, not even a sizable fraction,  but I could live off them without a doubt and with less work).

My main hobby is strange believes, which includes religions, so called para-normal phenomena and secret societies (which really aren't that secret).

As far as credentials, I guess it really isn't about paper, but what makes you believable based on your background and training/experience. For example, if we had a thread going on about secretaries that drive VW Golf's, you would be a pretty good candidate as an authority. You don't need a piece of paper for that, just a background.
Thanks again for posting tho, many of us like to look at who and what peoples backgrounds are like. Helps get a better sense of where they are coming from.

My family moved into a haunted house when I was in the 3rd grade. I heard footsteps the first night I moved in. I have had heard and seen ghosts ever since. My parents started to believe me when they had their own experiences.
I lost many friends in high school. I lost my best friend, more like my sister, when I was 19. She was drinking and driving. I was blessed to feel her presence the night after she died. About a month after that she visited me. I haven't seen her since. I would not be the person I am today had this not happened. (Her dying or the experiences afterward.)
I am married to a wonderful man who has put up with me for 16 years. I have 3 children.
I work with law enforcement in the field of vehicular homicide. I am able to help the victim's families with their loss because of my own experience. I truly believe things happen for a reason.
I have precognitive dreams about my work and other subjects.
I was raised in the Nazarene and Baptist faith. I am now in the Anglican Community in which I absolutely love. Looking back God has truly comforted me in some horrible times in my life, times even when I questioned his existence.
I have 5 dogs, 2 birds, 2 goats, 1 horse and 1 cat.
I love to read.
I think religion, spiritual expierences, ghosts, and other topics are so interesting. It amazes me the different outlooks we all have on everything. I was always taught there is no one "right" religion, just what is right for that person.

I think I am open minded, yet skeptical enough.

My job description is not counseling, however I do a lot of it. I compile cases for prosecution.

I have tried to implement a counseling program at work, to no avail.

I am actually going back to school in January to possibly go out on my own to help people.

I saw  a UFO as a kid. Don't know what it was.
When I was living in Alabama as a kid, a friend and I were up in a tree and thought we saw a bigfoot about 20 yards away. We ran away terrified. It fit every description of a bigfoot. Looking back I guess it might have been a bear. As a child I thought I saw glowing eyes(probably a dream). As a teenager I believed in vampires.

I am now a skeptic and proud of it. I can't wait for the day that I can see the paranormal verified. Once the market picks back up I would like to buy some ghost detecting equipment(EMF, etc.) and go try to see some things for myself.
