Here is a photo I took a few weeks ago. It was of a fire at night. You can see the colors reflecting off of the clouds and smoke.

They were only brush piles burning. Nothing was damaged or spread out of control. When I took the image it was raining heavily. Funny thing though my aunt thought it was the northern lights when she looked out her window. You could see the reflection off the clouds from 15 miles away. I'll have some snow pics up soon. Thanks everyone,

Things are always so much prettier when you know that no one parished in it. Good photo Mc.

That is a beautiful picture.  When I first saw the picture, I was afraid that somebody was going to say it was aliens, when it was obviously a forest fire. tongue.gif

Once again you've managed to capture my attention with one of your photo's.  You really do have a gift, McG.  Maybe someday when I'm rich and famous I'll pay you to do a giant sized print of one of these and hang it above my mantle.  wub.gif

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that 's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair'd the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!
