I've had a crush on Maria from Sesame Street for 20-somethin' years now. My mother-in-law looks just like her too.....my wife hates that
Does anyone remember that show with Jim Nabors (aka Gomer Pyle) where he was in space and shot lasers from his elbows? I used to watch it on PBS.
There was another show I used to watch about a hotel, and they were always sculpting faces on a big lump of clay. Shut up....I know it sounds stupid, but thats all I can remember. I'll give someone a dollar if they can remember the name of that damn show.

I think that shows like Dora The adventurer (which is dora the explorer in AU) insults childrens intelligence. In my opinion, Educational kids shows are not really educational. My nephew loved to watch blues clues, but he was not learning anything. As odd as I may seem, i think you should not teach kids by showing them a bunch of bright colors and cute characters

Going out on a timeline limb here - Romper Room, KuklaFran and Ollie, The Bozo Show are some of the ones I remember.
Of course there is the Lone Ranger, Zorro, The Green Hornet (go Cato!), The Shadow (not Shadeux), and Tarzan.
As for cartoons, don't forget the old Johhny Quest.
