What do you do that you consider a guilty pleasure? For instance is there like a certain food you just love? Or are you addicted to some tv show that totally doesn't seem like your "norm"?

For instance I love the Metallica album Load, but hate the band. I mean I won't listen to any of their other stuff, just that album.

Also I love pork rinds, although I know they are completely unhealthy for me.

Oh, and I almost always have to buy a book when I go to a used book store, even if I'll never read it.

I have a few guilty pleasures like, chocolate and fudgsicles and if i can have one of those 2 while i,m reading a really juicy historical romance novel, Well then i,m in heaven! Thereare a few more, but i don,t know if i,m ready to admit them today. Mabey tomorrow!

wow that's a loaded question ! I have a few , chocolate n peanut butter icecream is one while watching a good horror movie.

Oh, I forgot another big one of mine! I love craft stores of almost any kind, just the smells and stuff in them always put me in this almost euphoric mood where everything seems so simple.

Sodas....I enjoy my soft drinks, Pepsi and A&W Rootbeer. I drink pop like some people drink coffee or tea - morning, noon and night. Another guilty pleasure...television...I love my TV - satellite, movies and DVDs.

I understand the used book store thing. I'm the same way. I also love my beer and video games. I lOVE fresh sliced tomatoes covered in salt. I grow red beef steak, red cherry, and yellow pear tomatoes every year. ( I also grow romas but I don't like them raw they are for my home made spaghetti sauce.)

Hmmm.... guilty pleasures eh?

1) Christina Aguleira. She has the most amazing voice eer, and I really love her new album. However, it is the epitome of what my friends n(and sometimes myself) openly diss, so I rather keep it to myself...

2) Second would be a hot chocolate just before I go to bed. I know that ti is a rather unhealthy habit to get into (even though I use skim and diet hotchoc), especially with the caffiene and all, but it is just SO good.

3) And finally, my nails. I like to keep them a soft baby pink, which is rather in contrast with the rest of how I look. But I do so enjoy just sittin ghere at my laptop, watching them type. Plus, I think that it softens my image a little bit... though my boyfriend does hate them so.

AH well.

Roast chicken with mash and lots of gravy! I can eat a whole chicken...I don't care if it makes me puke, I'll fit it all in! Love it

I think one of my guilty pleasures is new athletic socks. I LOVE the way they feel the first time I wear them. Totally weird. haha.

Naveed, just curious, have you listened to the stuff before and after Load? Because before that album there are great albums with great songs. I.e. some songs "Fade to Black", "Blackened". "Master of Puppets", just to name a few.

even the pork sold there ( a good gammon) has it's skin still attached so you can score it with a razor in squares , pour hot water on it to open it up , season and put it in the over ------------- I have to find a cut like that here.


Plus I have yet to find steak and kidney pudding(suet) here - I'll have to end up making it.

I love stuff like horror movies, horror memorabilia and all that but I wouldn't call it a guilty pleasure; I'm far too open about it for it to be guilty, heh.

Now on the other hand, my true guilty pleasure, in every sense of the word? Power Rangers. I can still hum the entire theme song and even all these years later, still will argue very strongly that the Green Ranger was a total badass.

Yeah, me too. I listen to Wannabe every day on my way to work. That and Kid Rock. I'd say that was one of my many guilty pleasures. On the way to work, ipod plugged in, Spice Girls blasting on the radio and me singing my little heart out. I'm sure the people in the cars next to me think I'm insane. What they don't know is THAT is what keeps me sane!

Chocolate isn't a guilty pleasure, it's a food group. Same with beer. Although I do like to have a beer and sneak downstairs and play on the computer while my husband deals with the kids...

My husband would agree with the pork fat thing. He's Mennonite and they have a food called graven(sp?) which is basically fried pork fat. He eats it on toast with strawberry jam. Guess that's his guilty pleasure. Makes me gag!

I haven't smoked in years but I did have a crafty couple when I was out with my mates and it was great!! We can't smoke in pubs in the UK now, but that's a recent thing.

OMG no way... I love bead stores too. I spend hours in those places, in fact, I took an 8 hour class in silversmithing on Sunday at our local bead store. An afternoon made in heaven. (mostly because I found out I'm really good at silversmithing. hahaaha)

We should start a topic in Hobbies and have folks display their bead work. haha. I do a LOT of it.
