Aside from food and sports, Americans also love their pets. When it comes to the top dog lover's states, look West. New Mexico, Wyoming and California lead the nation in annual dog food purchases.
Maine is the state for cat lovers -- it leads the nation in spending on cat food.
The average female shopper at Wal-Mart is a size 14 who wears a size 8½ shoe. The average man's shoe size is a 10½.
And Wal-Mart even knows the answer to that age-old question: boxers or briefs?

I agree. My boyfriend and I both used to work there. We managed to escape. Sadly we had to leave some friends behind, dragging their chains working for nothing.
Still I thought it an interesting article anyway.

It is interesting.
I always have a story or two about my adventures to and from walmart. I post all that crap in my blog about once a week. Their chanting scares me.

I've been to a Wal-Mart once in a small small town well east of the Cascade Mountains... I was less than impressed. haha.
We actually don't have any Wal-Marts near where I live, or at least not within 20 miles of my house. If there is one closer, I've never seen it.
I'll stick with the Fred Meyer stores we have out here which I'm going to guess are similar to Wal-Mart. They're big variety stores with everything from tricycles to african violets and computers to fine jewelry and a full service grocery store. I like Freddy's. haha.

Ive been in a Freddy's before, it's the same as Waly world. I shop at Fareway (our towns little grocery) they still have an actual meat counter with butchers. None of that pre packed crap. They make their own Italian sausage thats to die for.

The only time I go to Waly is when fareway doesn't have something I need.

Walmart spelt backwards = tram law - no relevance whatsoever, I just thought I'd stick that little gem in

I also believe they inject their customers with truth serums

Only kidding, we haven't got any where I live, but when I visited the States a few years back, their goods were fine and inexpensive, so I can't moan.

Never been to a WallMart. They don't have them here.
With relation to the OP article...anything you do; anytime you shop; anytime you get a "card" from a store - even the kind you can put on your key chain; your personal information is tracked. That's how the media world works. Pretty scary, huh? Right and they ask what's your zip code at checkout or what's your phone number? LMAO... you know you DON'T have to reply to that. Most people just say it...
They find out where to target YOU through this kind of information to advertising certain products. Hehehe... it's all smoke and mirrors. You have NO IDEA!!!!

But I went to one when I was in the states. They got really annoyed when I wouldn't give them my postcode.

I remember Carlos Mencia making a couple jokes about this:
1st Joke:
"Did you know Carlos, when you use your card, they know what you buy? "What is the NSA gonna do with that information?" Are they gonna go "Oh my god, Jeff just bought some peanut butter and Ho-Hos!"
2nd Joke:
"I don't care what information you have of me. Just don't send my information to that dude on the Internet that wants to make my privates
larger.

Walmart is evil. I don't go there often because when I do I end up spending 3 times as much money and time as I intended. They know how to draw you into spending more money, which is why I don't actually save by shopping there. It's a trap!

I prefer to avoid Wally World when I can. To those of you not close to a wal-mart, be glad. Once it comes many smaller stores and family owned businesses are forced to close. I often pay a bit more just to shop at locally owned businesses, many of which are hanging on by a thread since our town got the new Wal-mart.

Sam Waltons legacy has been beaten and ground to a pulp. Wal*Mart is an empty shell of its former self.
Trust me, I know this through experience! I have been with walmart for the past 10 years. There really is
no rule book to follow, as each store rewrites them to fit whatever agenda is deemed appropriate by that
store.
Luckily, I'm a manager over automotive for which is a specialty area and is not directly effected by the store.

really that bad?
there's a Wal mart nearby our city zoo.most of my american clients would pretty much like to take a look in there after seeing the giant panda bears in the zoo.i'm talking about hundeds ppls for i'm a guide, they are tour groups.sometimes when we're about to get on board the boats for yangtze tour they also like to get some water, beer or wine there for it's too expensive on the boat.
wal mart is not doing very good in my city, chungking,an inland big city in south west of china.the local super markets provide even lower price.we dont hate wal mart they also donated some for local orphanage.
we also have starbucks, hardrock, hagendaze, pizza hut,Mcd and KFC of course,we like'em.

walmart isn,t any more evil than k mart or target or anyother discount chain.
it doesn,t trap you, i understand what ppl mean, i do get more stuff there than i need sometimes, but it is my desision, like d. trump once said, somethimes you buy things not becouse you need them, but becouse they are sold for the wrong(too cheap) price.
but in all, things are cheaper there, and they do have lots of stuff. the same stuff other stores sell for more.
whoever says working there sucks, i can assure you there are places that will make walmart the best place to work.
and i worked in those places, demolition, rubish removal..ect. everything is relative.
how does walmart know avarige customer shoe size?? easy, they see what sells more at their store, no conspiracys. and phone and zip code, you can say no, and nobody will ask you anymore questions, you can make it up as well, whenever i,m asked zip, and phone i say 90210, and the phone number, the number i had overseas.

WalMart is like a vicious circle.
People don't have alot of money, so they shop at Walmart for the cheap prices.
But the prices are cheap because many of the products are made overseas.
And buying the foreign made products further hurts American manufacturing.
It's like a win - lose situation.
