Interesting questions about the morality of evil.

I don't believe in Evil.

Some people are just messed up.

People who are considered 'Evil' are simply victims themselves...of one or many psychological disorders. They can develop over time or they can be born with them. Some can be treated, others should have been aborted.

only actions can be considered "evil" and that's just a broad term used to describe an action when you can't understand the motive...then after that you blame the devil!

yep... people always blame the devil. they just don't have self control and let the anger or pleasure control their act

evil thoughts don't make somebody evil.....thoughts don't hurt nobody.

if they don't go through with those thoughts they might not be evil, but they're still not good.

seriously, even if you do believe in the devil, i do. but you still can't blame the devil because YOU LISTENED TO HIM DUMB A$$.

speaking for myself as one who does believe in a God and thinks all happens for a reason I think 'evil' is just a part of that. we may not understand it , not agree with it , we know some are sick , .......... all the other reasons we can come up with , but I think it's just part of that plan called life.

We all have a bit of an evil streak in us...thankfully the majority of us have the ability to control it.

I agree with native chick...control is the word...I think we all have had at one time or another an evil thought about someone, and then put it in the back of our mind a minute later...It's those that dwell on it that one has to worry about...

Tor and Moog are sitting in front of a rabbit that Moog has just killed. Moog offers to share it with Tor. Tor is jealous because the kill will gain the attention of Dwar, the group's youngest female, nearly of breeding age. Tor kills Moog and throws him off a cliff. He tells the group that he killed the rabbit and Moog fell off a cliff during the hunt.

Tor breeds with Dwar and their children inherit their father's penchant for getting what he wants by any means. (the first "noble" family, perhaps?)

Evil? I think so.

Evil is the result of man's free will and is of evolutionary benefit. That's why it exists. Our race has evolved with "evil" as a beneficial part of our nature. Of course, it's also destructive, but there you have it.

I can't see how a person could commit actions considered evil without thinking of those actions, so I would have voted both for your first question.

If an environment makes it impossible to be evil, then there is still a choice to be 'not good' so I would vote no for your second question.

I couldn't vote in the third question as I could be considered both good and/or evil - it depends on the relative morality of those judging me so.

Anything that lacks love has evil within it in my view.

By the way, I am not saying that anything that lacks love is of the devil, just that lack of love in whatever a person is doing is evil - evil just another name for lack of love.

Interesting that the letters in the word LOVE and in the word EVIL are almost identical - take out the "I" in Evil, replace it with the neverending circle letter "O", reverse the letters around and you have LOVE. Perhaps taking out the "I" (I want, I deserve, I will have, I must have, I, I, I.....) is all we would have to do to perform acts of unconditional love.

I think evil is just as much a part of living as is good. to sides of the same coin - one could not exist without the other. all part of that Gods plan thing.

I have always found that quite interesting the words you can get by rearranging EVIL:

There is a subject that deals with anagrams of words (can't for the life of me remember what it is called though) - the theory is that whatever words the main word contains has a strong connection to the other words in some way.

I don't know how true it all is mind, but in certain words there are some very interesting variations.

We all have evil thoughts from time to time, but as others have said we controle our thoughts and most don,t act on those evil thoughts! True evil is when people love those thoughts and act on them without remorse!
