Hi all

Just like to run this by the MODS.....on other forums i'm on we run "post of the month" contests. These can be judged on content ...best pictures, original topics etc,etc...or they can be judged by the amount of interest shown or hits...or just on their damn fine quality of intelligence etc etc.
Does anyone think (especially the moderators) that this would be a good idea ?at the end of every month one post would be awarded "post of the month"
It works by being nominated by the members during the month and picked by the moderators.......on other sites it works a treat and it's agood way of highlighting to newcomers what the site's all about...........Comments YES,NO ???

We actually have something similar to this, although it is held annually instead of monthly. The 'UM awards' give members the opportunity to nominate and later vote for their favourite thread, topic, member, avatar etc. in an organised subforum.

The awards from earlier this year can be viewed here.

The next awards will be coming up early next year.

The guy posted another forum shortly after claiming to be from 2055 saying it was all just a joke and an introduction into the forum... and was banned forever very shortly after. laugh.gif Good riddance.
