Reverend Jesse Custer. What better then to have The Word of God? Well.. also to be wearing a reverend's collar!!!

Spawn. I've always been a sucker for the tragic characters.

Jean Grey. Nothing like having telepathic powers mixed with telekineses AND have a body like that...

Bat Man. Again, another tragic character.

See, I don't really get why Batman is considered a superhero. He has no super powers and really is no different from a cop, but you don't see them being called superheros.

Batman is a "super" hero because he does things no cop can do and he's all genius n stuff. How many beat cops would even know what half the batbelt stuff did? Or build a cave like that n stuff... The guy's like a super detective or super cop or super martial artist all combined to make a regular guy super "hero".

Camon. Superman is SUPER, he's invincible, he can fly, melt steel by looking at it, go into outer space and back in a few minutes, etc etc.

Batman, however, is just some crazy loon in a suit.

There's a phrase within the internet/comic comunity, mainly Batman fans obviously that "with prep time" Batman could beat anyone... In other words, in a straight out fight, Batman would get his ass handed to him by many people but if he had time to prepare and find a way to outsmart his opponent he could beat many people.

Superhero is a loose term to describe any comic book hero but should really only technically be used to describe those with super powers... Batman is nothing more than a vigilante.

Superman could theoretically be beaten by or atleast have a hard time beating someone, by quite a few people... Not by the likes of Batman though.

In a straight up fight - I'm talking just a punch up, where Superman can't just pick his opponent up and drop them from a great height or whatever - then I'm willing to bet that the likes of The Juggernaut, Hulk, Collossus (who are 3 of the strongest guys in the Marvel Universe) could hold their own against him.

Then there are guys like Thor, Silver Surfer, Thanos, Galactus etc who have cosmic level powers and could probably give him a good run for his money, maybe even beat him...

And then there's The Scarlet Which who doesn't have super strength but has the mutant ability of affecting probability fields so she can make very unlikely things happen such as gun barrels melting... Theoretically she could stand her own in a fight, if she could concentrate enough to make something as unlikely as a building collapsing on Supes or a Meteorite hit him... Now I know that wouldn't stop Supes but it would give him a good beating.

Straight out fight of course Supes win but Batman knows his opponent and his/her weakness no Batman is both a supreme fighting machine skilled in many forms of hand to hand cimbat (unlike Supes) but he is also a surperbe thinker and can think on his feet. supes relies on his super abilties much too much. No Batman would win by knowing his oponent.

Superman is overated, as is Wolverine

He's a good character... He's had some good stories and some bad stories... As I understand it, his continuity is a bit messed up and/or has been altered a few times... There was a time when he was just a badass fighter with a rage problem with a mutant healing factor but now he can survive nuclear bombs and correct me if I'm wrong but he has also survived having his head chopped or partially chopped off...

But he has become overrated... Too many people like him cos he's "cool"... And because over the years he has become the spokesman for the X world, he is in practically every X book. He pops up in Spider-Man books every so often, he gets his own mini series every now and then... Marvel just wh*re him out... It's just too much overexposure and it's killing him...

Moe thinks that he would make a rather jazzy superhero. We would have the power to summon herds of yaks and camels.

Man, all supes would have to do is get one hand on batmans neck and it would all be over... and given that superman is faster then a bullet, I don't think that would be much of a problem...

Sure, Superman does have that 1 weakness, but Batman is human, what weakness does he not have?


I might be wrong, but I think the Hulk beat Superman once in a comic. I'm pretty sure it was Supermans only loss too.

Batman is human and when going against a superpowered opponent that would be considered a weakness but if Batman has prep time and can get some kryptonite then he could easily beat Supes. Batman is stronger than your average man with lots of training in various forms of martial arts.

If it was an impromtu fight and he didn't have any kryptonite on him, 'cos you know, it's not the kind of thing someone carries around then Batman would get his ass handed to him on a silver plate, no doubt about that... It wouldn't even be a fight. Superman could knock him out with one punch.

That's one thing I don't know how their gonna get around when they do the Batman/Superman film... Superman has super strength and could take out Batman so easily, how are they gonna have them fight and not make Batman look like a weakling...



I think I've heard of this but have never read or seen any pictures of it... I've also heard that Superman went up against Juggernaut back in Marvel vs. DC and even with Juggs helmet, put him down in one punch...

I think you're right. But i also think that it all started when X-Men the movie came out. Ever since then, every little moron that was like 5 at the time wanted be him, and he got all mainstream popular so the writers at Marvel thought if they put him evey comic these kids would buy them. When I came out of the Fantastic Four on the day it came out, I overheard this little kid tell him mom, "Mommy, I wanna be FlamBOY!!!" I was WTF. This kid is stupid.

Well in a Superman vs. Batman fight, I say it just depends. I mean yes I am one of those people who believe that if Batman can plan, he can pretty much beat anyone, but you also have to remember that Superman is referred to as a "Boy Scout" cuz he always does the right thing and will most likely hold back. But if Superman got really pissed off, he can beat up anyone.

My nickname at work is "Xtreme"...for reasons I won't go into...last night, a coworker began refering to me "Aldo the Xtreme"...I have no idea why.

The only conclusion I can reach is that, with my new nickname, I am either the new right hand man of Ming the Merciless, or I am about to band together my own superhero guild.

If the latter is the case, then I have no need to choose which superhero I'd most like to be.

I am surprised no one has mentioned Ghost Rider yet. Sure his head is a flaming skull, but once he turns that Pennance Stare on you, ALL of the pain you caused comes back on you. I don't care who you mention on here, no one can beat that.
As for heroes I would like to be, I would have to say good ol' Green Lantern.

Moe is OBVIOUSLY the best superhero there is. I mean, llama and camel summoning powers? Who could beat that.

As for Superman, waaaaaaay too overpowered. He was overpowered before he could fly and could only jump really high, but now... Not good.

My favorite superhero is one that I made up on a superhero game. His name is BroodStone, he has rock like skin, as well as being able to make rock armour, change the ground around him into hot mud, and he's also able to create rocks around his hands, hammers out of rocks, very cool.

My favouite wouldbe Raven from Teen Titans, but Batman ranks pretty high but only the cartoon version.

favourite superhero (even though he is a villian): Pyro from X-Men... so sexy AND he can control fire.... what more could you want in a guy?
