there is a reason why the belief of gods as existed for as long as history can recall. it is because they are a product of our brains, our thought processes. we are biologically wired to think in certian ways 'out of the box'. there is even one theory that states man was not evolved enough to distinguish between voices in his head and 'external god voices' until 3000 years ago.

atheism, just like all religions, denies our potential.

First of all, atheism itself isn't in opposition of any beliefs, it's by itself saying that no higher power exists. Second of all, Their are differents types of atheism, so generalizing all of them is going to make it look weak and have many vulnerabilities, while it may not. And you also contradicted yourself.

I assume people are talking about the Biblical God?? If not than i apologize for my answer..

I'm not God, but the Bible answers many of the question asked in this thread...

The most popular are "why do you let people suffer?", "Why do you allow bad things to happen?", things like that...well the answer is ...God allows EVIL because He gave humanity freedom of choice aka free will, the gift to choose between doing good and doing evil. Sadly people choose evil much more often that they choose good. If GOD stopped everyone from doing whatever it is that crosses their heads, than we humans would be nothing but puppets, with no choises for anything. Everytime we had a thought God would snap his fingers and say
" hmm... i don't like that thought, you shall do this instead"

than everyone would be complaining "GOD DOESN'T LET ME DO ANYTHING"...oh wait ... you WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO EVEN COMPLAIN.

I am not a Christian, but I believe in many of the things thought in the Bible because they make sense...common sense.

Instead of blaming GOD for the Evil on the world, why not look in the mirror first?

For example for the younger kids that go to school..when you see someone being bullied do you laugh about it ? do you join in? or do you just ignore it and run because you think "its better they bully that guy than me " ? ..Instead of blaming GOD for that, why don't you ask yourselves "why didn't I help the victim" ?

Of course this "system" does not work for everything in the world. But all actions have consequences. And we are RESPONSIBLE for our actions NOT GOD. Blaming GOD is the EASY way out, its EASY to blame GOD instead of looking to yourself.

And obviously I am not talking about victims of horrible crimes... Like I said before people have free will ... freedom of choice... Its a "SPiritual DEmocracy" if you will... If GOD removed your Freedom than He would be a Tyrant.

As to God sending people to Hell... lol...well..like I sadi Free will...For example ...

if you drive a car drunk and cause an accident, end up in jail... will you blame the driver of the other car ?? Is it the other driver's fault that you were drunk ? No! YOU DECIDED TO DRUNK DRIVE...so why blame GOD for it ? If you do something that can "Send you to hell"...it was YOUR DECISION... leave GOD out of it....RESPONSIBILITY is a HEAVY and HARD Cross to carry.... but it makes you alot "lighter, and happy with yourself".

Um.. the point of the thread is to ask "God" questions. By answering them, you are assuming the position of God..which I guess is ok because the position's open.
