One thing I dont understand is, surely if these were big breakthroughs we'd be seeing it on the news on tv? I rarely see the same stuff thats been posted on here on the news.

Thats because CNN is owned by president Bushs' brother and we all know his administration is like a pack of jackels... They really are the terrorists, they thrive on our fear, and they never talk about the good stuff. I could go into this in more detail but I really have a life and if you don't understand what im saying then google the term "fear and consumption" (with the brackets)

Cryonics Society Hails Breakthrough In Hibernation Technology

because BBC news ( T.V ) like other networks only like to show the following;

Death / killings / rape etc...
sad stories
moaning about stupid things
and moan more about political issues

basically the news is the same every day.

Breakthroughs in science happen EVERY DAY but the majority do not here about them. All breakthroughs are well reported on the internet tho, even on the bbc website; http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/default.stm

Science
Technology
Health

and other websites such as

http://www.nanotech-now.com
http://www.wired.com
http://www.kurzweil.net
http://www.sciencedaily.com
http://www.theinquirer.net

Also google.com news

Search; Stem cells, genetic engineering, nanotechnology, biotechnology etc..

Lots of interesting things happen around the world everyday. Just mainstream news don't report on it 90% of the time.

That is indeed true

I heard about this about three weeks ago, and told my sister the astronauts
will not like inhaling sourgas!
Seriously, though, some cells use this in their life cycle, namely tumor cells. That is why chemo or radiation therapy can be slow to act. I do not mean that H2S
is present in cancer cells, but that they have periods of metabolic slowdown.

Any breakthroughs in cryogenics are wonderful and should not be overshadowed here by trolls.

WTF are you talking about thefounder? President Bush's Brother? CNN is owned by Time Warner. Time Warner is owned by Ted Turner. Do you have fun highjacking threads by spreading your lies and fear mongering? Well that was a stupid question because obviously you do.

thefounder
Alright, It was a joke... But really, CNN is somewhat like a terrorist faction. Anyways, I'd like to clarrify that Ted Turner is not related to or friends with Bush.. Infact, he really doesn't seem to like him or his opinions all that much.

Now, as for cryogenics.. Well, it sounds like an interesting science and I believe that with the breakthroughs made not more then a month ago, we could see man sent to Mars like on the original movie Planet of the Apes..

Note: When saying the breakthroughs made not more then a month ago, I am refering to the ability to put mammals into hibernation using gases which are commonly found in caves.
