Biggest thing you got to watch out for is "Freshman Syndrome", where you stay inside your dorm room the entire time. Get out there, join different clubs, find out what events are coming up. Spoend your first semester becoming the social butterfly that you never where (you can always draw back the next semster), but just make sure you don't isolate yourself in the beginning.

This also helps you avoid the "Freshman Fifteen", which is the approximate growtn in pounds the avergae freshman gets their first year.

I'll be a sophomore in college this fall... and freshmen year I felt homesick for about a month. Then I realized,"Holy crap, I can do whatever I want." And life got really fun. grin2.gif

Yeah, get out there and start living your life and make friends and college is fricken awesome! Party time, Excellent! w00t.gif

i got home sick for the first week then i just got over it! laugh.gif but when you make alot of new friends and do alot more it takes your mind of home and makes you settle in more where you are yes.gif (i've been out of home for two years)
