I Beleive that I.p addresses should be allowed to be used more then once because
what if someone had a family member over and wanted to use there address at there brothers house and they get kicked of for no reason.
Shouldn't you get to vote for your frend for having the best sig, name, ect...
What about roomies they have one address one bill shared and can't go on the site because there afraid to post because they'll get kicked off it's not fair to tell people there family or friends can't use there user on there computer because there's a rule about no two people on one I.P address.
We've gotta do something now before they say you can't have an opinion on this site because you prefer digimon to Poke'mon.
Do something Now before you don't even have a user acccount to talk about because a friend used your computer......

Allowances are made for shared computer users. However if one member has access to your computer and causes disruptions then there is a chance that every user on that computer will eventually be unable to access the site. It makes our job that much harder, it's not like we like being nasty.

And sadly more often than not multiple users on teh same I.P. adress do cause trouble. Most of which does not last long on the public board.

I've removed the poll from this thread because this issue is not up for public vote.

Several active accounts using the same IP address are quite often the result of someone posting under multiple usernames out of devilment. If you are not doing that then you have nothing to worry about.

There is no rule which forbids two people who share the same IP address from using the forum. There is a rule about pretending to be more than one person by posting under different accounts - there is a difference.

Since you are not doing that then there isn't a problem.

How exactly does preventing multiple username abuse have anything to do with the restriction of opinions ?

I think we can safely close this topic, the original issue has been addressed.
