I need help...

My dream is to go back to college and train as a midwife... I should have stayed on when I went to college after school, but I thought I had qualified as much as I wanted to do with my career.

Someone in my dept came to me a few weeks ago and out of the blue said "You're in the wrong career here, go back to college and be a nurse"

I had hardly spoken to her before, and never with any reference to career or ambitions.

She told me that in the UK (Scotland she was talking about), apparently you train as you work.... you get a bursary which you are not expected to repay... and you get paid for the work you do.

Does anyone here know where I can find this out, know anymore info about this, etc, etc. blush.gif

I had a friend who did a nursing course at our hospital while at the same time getting first hand experience working there on various placements. I believe the course was being offered by Stirling University, so that might be a good place to look for a start.

See if you can find out from them if they do nursing degrees through the local hospital, you may be able to do something similar. thumbsup.gif
