A girl and guy were speeding over 100 mph on the road on a motorcycle.

Girl: Slow down. I'm scared.

Guy: No this is fun.

Girl: No its not. Please, its too scary!

Guy: Then tell me you love me.

Girl: Fine, I love you. Slow down!

Guy: Now give me a BIG hug.

-:- Girl hugs him -:-

Guy: Can you take my helmet off & put it on yourself? Its bugging me.

(In the paper the next day): A motorcycle had crashed into a building because of brake failure. Two people were on it, but only one survived.

The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his brakes broke, but he didn't want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him & felt her hug one last time, then had her wear his helmet so that she would live even though it meant that he would die.

You never know what's going to happen...

A friend sent that to me, and I'd thought I would share it. original.gif
Euphoric Deception
Wow now thats a true gentlemen.
RH2097
Yea, I'd do that too if I loved someone. But I wouldn't get on a murdercycle to begin with tongue.gif
Shadowsleet
If his brakes were broken, why was he driving at one hundred miles an hour to begin with? If I were to find out my breaks were broken, I think my initial reaction would be to stop accelerating the damn thing...
RH2097
Well, the story said, Halfway down the road he realised his brakes were not working, which is what started to the whole story to begin with.
distortedpandy
awww...how sweet happy.gif
BurnSide
So what did she do after he didn't slow down?? I bet she was really pissed.
Shadowsleet
Oh, if we was driving at 100 anyway, before his girlfriend even had a helmet on, then in that case my sympathy just evaporated, nevermind.

True love is when you don't put the girl at risk in the first place, or when you give her your last rolo.
Subtemperate
Anyone ever had a coversation on a motorcycle going over 100 miles per hour?
Shadowsleet
Forget conversation. Taking off someone's helmet when you're going at one hundred miles an hour without them losing control of the bike. Now there's a talent.

Excellant point, Subby-Mod!

Besides, taking the helmet off while at that speed with failed brakes would mostly have caused them to crash right off... or maybe that's why they did crash in the end...
BurnSide
I think Shadowsleet has the best point here. Jesus the guy was going at 100mph and his girlfriend was clinging onto the back with no helmet!? That's just reckless endangerment!

Hold on....your calling me a dumbass? Just be careful the line you walk if you wish to go with that....

Love is about thinking about the other person constantly, and always putting them first. Not realising theres trouble, and martyring yourself when the times right. That isn't love, thats carelessness and sacrifise.
Shadowsleet
I think there are many stories that greater exemplify true love in the real world than a hypothetical speed freak who recklessly endangered his girlfriend and everyone else on the road by driving at one hundred miles an hour.

I would have told of the real life incident about the groom who, while diving with his bride on their honeymoon, pushed her out of the way of a charging great white shark. Taken by the shark instead, his body was never found.

I can feel the love in this thread. laugh.gif

laugh.gif Way to go lads, we managed to completely ruin this nice jesture by Kratos.
Sorry about that. Shadows last example was nice though.
Subtemperate
Subby is never sorry. I can see the endearing part of the story, but can't live with the fact it defines true love...lol

EXACTLEY!
Euphoric Deception
There are more than one way to define true love and no one actually said those two were in love. Personally, I think the guy was slick back there.. lol
hyperactive
i understand the reckless argument however one must not forget that love and intelligence are two separate things. he could truly love her and not be too bright, or he could be so overtaken with love that he did not think before zooming off, or he just did not think before zooming off.

Neo2005
I'd do that in a second for the one i love.

Full of plot holes, but a nice idea, I guess.

Moral of the story, ladies: If your man offers you a ride on his bike, but no helmet, pass on him for a guy with a car. happy.gif
tiddlyjen
thats really quite sad...
*admits she got a bit choked up at the end*
ohhhh crying.gif
Hoagy
thats so sad... crying.gif

I hate stories like this. If he died and she didn't know what was going on, then how does anybody know what he was thinking and why he gave her the helmet?
Shadowsleet
While the same question had occured to me, I don't think we were supposed to ask. And man...I can't believe the fictional joy riding idiot has been given more "what a hero!"s than my real life shark devoured groom.

....that didn't come out right....not my real life shark devoured groom...but the real life shark devoured groom of whom I spoke.
