What would you do in a post WW3 world were very few governments were left, and the ones that were left, had no power?

I would form a group, or try to at least, and try to protect the people who needed protection from the moarding gangs that would be formed, and hopefully creat a stable area.

Re-organize and start from scratch forming a whole new political system, and trying not to go down the same road as before. Defence first objective other then food and shelter. Scary

Id carve myself a kingdom from the scraps of the past and use my followers to take over the world.

I'd invent warp drive and get us some first contact.

Thats hard to say, i guess i would hold there where people left who were not insane and join them.

IO'd be forming one of those gangs you were talking about protecting people from..Then I'd seel our services to whatever remained of the government, increasing the general peace and making my own power and influence grow accordingly..
When I'd made myself completely unexpendable to the powers that be, i'd use that leverage to take over myself..

I'd get off by myself and protect myself from the rest of you.

I could take two routes:

A)
I'd secretly gather a group of followers. We'd man a yacht and land on a small, inhabitable island a reasonable distance from the mainland. There, we'd live off the land and form a small colony, and wait for the world to sort it's problems out. We'd be safe, and probably happier than everyone else.


I'd gather a group of followers and proceed to manipulate the remaining goverments. We would assasinate leaders whom we saw as a danger to the world, and promote those whom we thought were helping to rebuild society. We would probably end up merging with an existing government.

Which is better?

I would start a band of mercenaries, i couldn't stant the pressure of ruling the world...

WWlll when it happens will be the end. survivors!? I doubt there will be any an dif so they will surely die off quickly. No no decsion or government will be needed because there will be no one left to govern!

how about starting over in a communial style.
everyone works a particuliar job, no one gets paid money, people try to better thier lives with knowledge and close relationships with others.
no reality tv, but total freedom of religion, drug use, and life style.
felons are executed immediatly, people would have to follow 10 basic rules-laws, or be banished into the wasteland.
no one person in charge, but a group 9. (3 from religious, 3 from social, and 3 from protection/police) no politically correct-ness, but no slandering to make yourself feel better.
you would have to pass a parenting test to have children. no divorce (choose wisely).

I could go on, but I guess to fully sum it up.... just be a descent person to those around you.

And if you didnt agree to this, I wouldnt let you in. Even though the council of 9 would exist, I would still be the gate keeper.
