Its snowed 2 times in melbourne in 50 years.... Its the same temperature in melbourne today as it is in Glasgow.... Ones in winter, the other summer....

sledging is indeed fun but if you decide to use a plastic bag (which does make you go quite fast (and is good if your sibling has the sledge)) be careful of rocks hidden in the snow they hurt when they hit you on the tail bone

We Celts have been living here for 3000 years, we're immune to it Since you've just come up from Australia you're in for a shock

Don't worry though, I have a friend from Tunsia who came here 3 years back in summer and was going on about how cold it was while the rest of us just wanted to lie down sweat to death. But 6 months later he was fine.




Not really Like true Celts we walk around in the rain in t-shirts. During the rain if you see people hiding in doorways etc you know they're all foreigners, the real Scots are the ones still walking around as if immune to its effects

Wrap up warm hun...thats how you cope...

While i tended to do this at home, I shall reserve judgement to I feel the rain here.....

Hopefully in winter i will be able not only to feel the rain, but to still feel my legs....

That would of course be a bonus.

People start threads about things all the time, this was abbout a total change in my life, which was not posted by me... nor did I post a thread saying i would be gone.... and I am discussing life changes and differences here.....
