Well just want to thank you all for your interesting discussions, and for helping me change my outlook on my education..
I dropped out of school in the 7th grade and started living on the streets selling drugs and the whole shabangabang. I thought that was the way to live, Hell, That is an encouraged way to live in California by the youth.
I came to these forums, and got to hear interesting debates, and interesting points of view, on a MANY diverse amount of subjects. Basically you guys taught me how to look at all sides of the box, and to evaluate things from a intellectual standpoint. Since I came here over 2 years ago, I started caring about my education, even though I was a dropout, I tried to further my education as best as I could.
I hope you are all happy to here, I got my GED Results today and passed 1st try!!! I scored a 90 percentile in science, as well as a 90 percentile in reading / writing. Thank you all for your help with everything. Unknowingly you all helped change my life, and truly, from the bottom of my heart.. Thank you all..

Congratulations trajik man thumbsup.gif I am truly happy for you . I grew up in a pretty bad neighborhood myself so I know what type of life you've probably led and how hard it is to be good when everyone around you is being bad. Have you thought about what kind of career you might want to get into?

Hey thanks for the reply. For the past 2 months I have been setting up a business I am going to be opening on Sept 1st. Finally got a building, and advertisement, and signs made. Im going to have an online auction drop zone for ebay items. I can only pray it works out. Im used to dissapointment, so all these things going my way, truthfully, I dont know what to do with it hah.. Hopefully this will turn from a small business, into a career for myself. But one can only hope.
On another note, Why?? You got a job for me wink2.gif Im a hard worker =)

I wish I could but I dont own my own business...

Actually a place like what your trying to do opened near where i live they have been there for at least 7 months so it seems like it must be going ok for them or else they would have been closed by now. If for some odd reason your venture doesnt succeed just try something else. One good thing about growing up in the streets is you get pretty good street smarts. You just have to use your talent for good instead of evil. My cousin was in the same boat as you he's on his way to owning his own Plumbing company what he learned during his youth he is using for good purposes now and its helping him out alot.

Congratulations!!!

There is, indeed, a lot of valuable lessons to be learned here. Good luck with the business. The ones that I know of like that are doing very well. I'm thinking of taking advantage of the convenience myself. thumbsup.gif

Yea, I have already taking my army enlistment tests and all that good stuff.. I got a 115 GT score, not really sure what that is, but yea =). But yea, ive talked with the recruiters alot, and if this business does not work, then Ill be in the service real fast. And im not too worried about the "safe" way of going. I owe my country more then it owes me, so wherever I would be of most use, is where I would join =). Hey thanks again to all who replied, you guys dont know how much you helped me.
