Well, this was considered paranormal back in the 19th century but now it is clearly a cloth of some kind. Back in those days, it looked real and they had no way to prove it or disaprove it. Just imagine years from now when they can easily disaprove or aprove pictures from our time. What do you think on this subject?

I've seen a lot of old photos of ectoplasm coming from a medium, but does anyone know where to find some recent ones? are there any? could it possibly be that most, if not all, were simply faked because they could get away with it then but not so much now with our digital cameras and ability to properly analyse images? if anyone knows where to find some more recent accounts, I would love to see them, or had any experiences?

Thing about ectoplasm as I said, I believe looks different with newer technology, as opposed to the old black and white stuff from years and centuries ago. I mean its the same stuff, just now we have it in color and can enhance it etc. I could find hundred on the web but instead will post one of my own which I posted before. It has been deemed as ectoplasm in my bedroom. Now theres a comforting thought LOL..

I meant more in terms of the mediums/psychics who appear to have it coming out of their mouths, ears, nose, etc, does that even happen anymore? that's a weird photo you have, under what circumstances was it shot? I already have a wardrobe door that opens on its own at the same time every night, if I photographed weird mists floating around my room I'd probably move out LOL

It's looking more and more like it will be. I refer you here. It's possible now, but not easy (if you want to do it for free). But to do it easily and affordably, the software is now in the development stages!

Many of the mediums from that area were pressured to produce on demand and of course now we realize that it doesn't always work that way ....... of course you see a multitude of suspect pictures from that period but some of them are intriguing.....B

To me each and every one of the photos I have seen looks like cheesecloth...sometimes wet cheesecloth, but cheesecloth nonetheless... It seems like something that some person tried to freak out people; it worked and then every person in the business went out and bought yeard of cheesecloth and it started to show up everywhere. I personally could not see how people could take it seriously....

It looks to me like a guy with his head surrounded by fluffy cotton...

I always liked looking at Mulmer's "spirit photographs". He was apparently caught in the act, but the charges had to be dropped for lack of evidence. Some "spirits" were found to be alive... His photographs are great all the same. I was always curious how he pulled off the one below, and the story behind the photo is great.

I would encourage eveone to look at the scenario...for two weeks staright on a nightly basis a group of a main medium , auxilliary meduims (2) and up to six additional "sitters" the common opinion is that it takes weeks for the channeling medium to build up this ectoplasm...then only a soft red lighting can be used to see the exteriorizations....then the camera gear of the era is a factor....the photos I think are more of an illistration of what cannot be captured on film...or at least it is extremely difficult to catch on film....B
