Have anybody notice that superman draws his energy from the SUN, energy deplete from KRYPTONITE, came from ANOTHER PLANET, suppose to save the WORLD, the only begotten son sent here by his father because his world was destroyed and the earth need guidance. Then the other thing i wana point out is the constant reference to crystals and the wonders of em. So have the media been tryna push man into the right way by entertainment to keep in fresh on the mind. What is kryptonite realistically in the real world, im think green lil men in flying saucer or nuclear power. The reason why because the kryptonite chaned the dna of regular human and made the super but super man gets weak when in contact with it and dont nuclear radiation do the same and is green.

The messages in movies now are all the same when you look deeper. More movies coming out with serpent and dragon creatures in it like Harry Potter, The Descent(reptillian people in caves),300( the immortals),Lord of The Rings,eragon and im pretty sure you can come up with more. And whats the fascination with movie with supernatural beings in it like, xmen,spiderman,hulk,and others. Another Big objects coming toward earth on a destruction such as Star Wars deathstar (Planet Niburu), armageddon,compact and etc.

Im just saying director and writer are putting ther beliefs in the movies to open the mind but it actually back fire because some people think that they got a movie of it that it cant happen. This is probably just the work of the devil to water the concept down in our head. What do you think?

GM pushed it at the producers in order to publicize their new model. GM even says that in the press. It's no different than when you see a character drinking a coke or a pepsi. "Skittles" will freely admit that the only reason their product is still on the market is because they were in ET after M&M Mars declined to let them use M&M's in the movie...

I think we see a lot in movies like these comparisons. One of my faves is Lilo and Stitch being interested in Raelian belief we can see genetic scientist being banished from home planet for making 'bad' experiment that threatens home planet and ending up on Earth. Complete with aliens and the obligatory Man in black, it's a classic!

Good vs evil, I think it's in nearly every show and movie on TV in some form or another. Star Trek is great for incorporating ideas and beliefs into reality as is the Simpsons.

There was a classic Twilight Zone in which Agnes Moorhead was being attacked by these little aliens. You're feeling sorry for her and rooting her on until the end, when she smashes the ship with a sledgehammer...and you see United States of America on the ship....

Here are some more; Transformer for instance Megatron (the reptillian robot) is the leader of the Decepticon meaning ones who decieve i guess. Then theres Optimus Prime (themonkey repesent the good side) whos Megatron archrival and get this brother. Now where have we heard this story before. Advance reptillian thingy crash back in the b.c. sometime and man benefit from his knowledge not knowing that he's not an ally. The good guy who know there ways show up late but just in time.

He was designed to provide some psychological relief from the feelings of helplessness that many people felt in the 20's and 30's as a response to both the first world war, the great depression and the growing militarism of the time; set against Americas growing isolationism. (not to mention the growing lawlessness and deterioration in social behaviour which was caused bysome of these factors, and the prohibition era)
Much has been written on this by both the authors and others, including doctoral theses. The original writers did intend a religious and social commentary, but nothing like to the extent to which it is now attributed, and superman's angst and dark side are a more modern addition. Originally it was an entertaining and money making enterprise.

The basics are that superman is not human, has only two weaknesses (magic and Kryptonite) and thus does fit the "godly" nature of many archetypal heroes. In many cases, those things which are his strengths, are also his weakness.

I read a novella/short story once in which the baby superman fell to earth in Nazi germany rather than rural America. Brought up to be a patriotic german, if not an ardent nazi, he was eventually killed/executed by the allied forces, through the use of Kryptonite, close to or just after their eventual victory. I did not like the story, but it served its purpose of making the reader reflect how intertwined our heroes are with our own cultures and beliefs.

If Jesus had a kryptonite, then in a purely physical context, it would be that he held too firmly to what God wanted him to do. All he needed to do was let go of that damn pesky desire to do God's will and he could have saved himself. But noooooooo, he had to go and die for the sins of humanity, didn't he............

I get what you are saying, but I think you are reading a little too much into it. Almost all action type movies are going to follow the Good vs Evil theme. You can make a connection to anything if you try hard enough. People have compared Star Wars to the bible for years, and many have compaired Superman to Jesus. While you could really put up a good case for Star Wars, Superman is really nothing more than a good piece of fiction created by two Jewish men. Also krytonite does not have any effect on humans in the movies, and in the comics, it can cause harmful radiation poisoning over time even to humans.

I don't think Megatron was reptillian, his features were more sinister, but that's all for him to look like the "bad" guy. Neither was Optimus Prime a monkey. Actually the whole "technology taken from Megatron" thing, is a reference to the roswell conspiracy theory. Many people claim that the surge of technology in the last 60-70 years was taken from a saucer that crashed and this was mirrored in transformers.

Actually, Madtv did a skit about this. The terminator went back in time to protect Jesus. He keeps following him around "protecting" him. The funniest part is at the last supper, where the terminator shoots and kills Judas. Jesus tells him he can't do that and ressurects him, then it happens again, and again, and again. Finally when he convinces the terminator to let him die, the arnold look alike turns to the camera and says "He'll be back".
