We hardly know each other but we already know so much
We've been so close it amazes me we've never even touched

So loving and kind this wonderful friend of mine

I love her like I love my sister yet I have to say
I wouldn't even know her on the street or at a play

When I first met and talked to her that was never my goal

It's funny how fate steps in when you don’t know you need it most
Like at a party with a drink; offered by the host

We laugh, we cry, we joke and play
Oh how I thank God for her every single day

She's like me in so many ways yet different too
At this point in time I could never lose you

I worry for her, I pray for her I love her and her ways
She's strong and loyal and always true; a blessing to this day
