Recently, only one USB port has been workin on my desktop, I took alook at the motherboard to make sure everything was ok and could find nothing wrong with it. Is it a problem with the motherboard? Please can someone tell me the problem soon because I don't want to pay for a new motherboard.

It's possibly broke, but you can get more USB ports by attaching a USB Hub to the first one. Go on ebay and search for USB hub, you can pick one up for a couple of quid.

or if you have your motherboard chipset drivers you may want to reinstall the USB... it may work.
