A person mentioned briefly that he had taped an evp and he wasn't sure what it was saying. No one took much notice so he didn't mention it again. However it seemed like an amazing evp to me and I contacted him via email and asked if I could tell others about it. He seems quite genuine and thinks there are plenty of great evp's around and doesn't think his is all that great.

His little sister saw a ghost going into a closet, and as he had heard about evp's from coast2coast he decided to get his sony microcassette recorder and see if he could tape the ghost. He went into the closet with the recorder and asked if anyone was there. The ghost's reply was caught on the tape. The background noise is the motor noise etc from the tape recorder.

I guess it is impossible to prove something is real over the internet, so I'm not even going to try.

I've put the file on two servers because one of them keeps cutting out.

Well I heard the word God, but what do I know....

It sounds like it's saying "Father... God..." to me. Until I capture my own EVP I'm going to seriously doubt everyone elses

I heard god pretty loud and clear, but I didn't really understand the word before it. It kind of sounds like it's saying 'Power of God' to me. o.O I did listen to it once more after reading the rest of the responses here and it also does sound a lot like 'Father God' but that might have been because I was listening for those exact words that time.

Ouch... very clear to me "father God"... definitely a child's voice...

The problem with EVP's is that people hear what they want to hear - or what they are told they are hearing.
I think I've only ever heard half a dozen that have me almost convinced....

Remember - we are surrounded by radio signals, microwaves and all kinds of radiation, so EVP's can't ever be taken as proof of anything paranormal.

If this is legit, it is good.
