Um, if you see any women skinny-dipping, post the photos here.
I'm sure I speak for the rest of the guys when I say we'd find them a whole lot more interesting than some blurry, obscure photo of a whatzit!

Good luck, please contact any Canadian, as far as I know, I'm sooo far from Canada to tell you anything...except that at the end of the year, I too am going to Canada and staying in Kelowna on lake Okanagan. Hope I'll get to see the Ogopogo and reveal to tyou all what exactly it is!

Well, enjoy your stay in Canada. Lots of bug spray if you're in the bush. A few tall cans of beer won't do any harm either.

I haven't heard any sightings in that area for a while, mostly from Vancouver. Ha! I even heard one in Toronto not too long ago (where I live).

Good luck, but no one ever sees Cryptids if they're looking for them. tongue.gif

I'll drive by Lake Okanogan about Aug. 13 this year, enroute to my log cabin on a lake in central B.C.
Same ol' route I take every other year, when I go to my cabin.
And each time I drive along the west side of the lake, on the highway, I keep my eyes peeled. I suppose everyone does ... lol.
Not seen a thing yet. Just a bunch of boats.
Oh well, it's a fun diversion for a few minutes.
Kelowna makes a lot of money by promoting Ogopogo. It isn't the chief draw but it's one of them. Fishing, scenery, waterskiing, swimming and socializing are the main draws. It's a great place to have a vacation.
But in the summer it's FILLED with boats. And most boats have fish detectors. Frankly, I just don't see how a large animal could escape detection. On a holiday weekend, there are easily 1,000 boats on the lake.
If Ogopogo exists, he must be wearing a Cloak of Invisibility!

LOL, true enough. But, there is a little bit of folk lore around here that Ogopogo can hide in caverns. Supposedly, there are all kinds of caverns and tunnels from Lake Okanagon. Now, Kootenay Lake also used to have a monster, but it stopped being seen years before. A story that was circulating with the old timers was that the creature might have been the same creature in both lakes that would travel back and forth through a tunnel and then the tunnel caved in and the creature was stuck in Lake Okanagon. grin2.gif I love those old stories.

xX, you'll not be seeing any bigfoot on Lake Huron, sorry to say. Capoeiranger has a far better chance to see one when they go to Kelowna. That's where all the bigfoot sightings are - in BC - not the Great Lakes. There's no seaserpents there either...sorry. But you should keep a keen eye out for our Provincial bird, better known as the mosquito. Yes, you're going to need loads of repellent - they're nastiest around water and damp areas.

This is just my opinion - but coming in a few miles from the US is not exactly 'visiting Canada', to me. Although, I must admit, the area around Lake Huron is very nice. I'm serious about the repellent - the mosquitoes seem to be very evil this year. You might need a light jacket or pullover as some nights the temps can drop, but on a good note, that also gets rid of alot of mosquitoes..hehe

hahah, I drive by kelowna ever year in September (so beautiful up there) I've never seen Ogopogo, but I keep my eye out for him. I kinda think you're right though, that lake is packed in the summer months, if Ogo is hiding, he's really really good at it.

I visit an area well north west of Kelowna, around 100 Mile House (Green Lake) ... that place might be as close to God as you can get. The sheer variety of wildlife you will see is astounding. Last year I accidentally got up close and personal with a Moose Cow and her calf. Kinda scary because females with a calf are known for charging and killing folks. Luckily I was on horse back and she didn't charge. A very cool experience.

well sorry i couldn't get back well i didn't see anything but i herd a legend called wild man (name of an island right by ours)

Edit o yeah there was a story of too lovers that set out to lake Huron they were lawyers and they diapered my friends explanation was that happened because they were lawyers lol

They diapered you friends explanation? What?

Your whole trip is already ruined, because nobody finds anything when they go looking for a cryptid. It's all chance and it only happens to people who don't believe. Sorry for the depressing news. crying.gif
