It's sad, but it happens a lot.
Dogs suck. They are moronic, drooling, smelly, overall disgusting animals.
Cats rock the casbah. They are smart, clean, overall charming animals.
And fish are just cool, but not as cool as Axolotls!

It is a type of salamander that stays in its larval stage all its life and barely ever do they grow into salamanders. Once one of mine did, it rocked, but they die a week after growing into slamanders so I cried for a little while then bought another.

A dog has more loyalty to it's owner, then people have to each other....When we had to put my shepherd down, it was my husband who was with him...A big strapping guy, who had tears in his eyes when he came home...A sad story indeed.... 
We had a shepard that we had to put down a few years ago as well. I cried my eyes out for a while.

I had 2 of them, they are neat lil critters.. u can touch them, take them out of the tank, they have legs to walk. They feel silky -- not slimey like a fish.
Tho mine were short lived.
