Greetings,

Some weird stuff has happened in my apartment and I'd like to know if anyone has any idea about what is going or has any advice on what to do about it.

My wife called me at work today and was very scared. She said stuff was flying around the apartment by itself and that things were falling off counters and tables. I wasn't sure what to make of it. I did hear something go bump in the background. I told her just to wait for me outside and that I would be done with work soon. She had a neighbor visiting at the time and he came on the phone and confirmed that something weird was happening.

I arrived home to inspect the apartment. There was a big black stain on the wall where my wife said her mascara hit after flying down the hall in from another room (like it was thrown). In the hallway there was a horizontal mascara stain which seemingly confirms this. There was also some paint chips on her tread mill and spots of white out which she said was thrown also. She also said video tapes in our daughter's room fell out from all the way inside the cabinet, she put it back but as soon as she walked out of the room she heard a bump and dicovered it on the floor when she walked back in! She told me about a couple more things flying like they were thrown. I talked to the neighbor and he confirmed this. According to them, this went on for about an hour.

I don't think they are lying about what they saw and there was physical evidence left so I don't know what to make of this.

Some background info: my wife and I were married in August and we moved into this apartment in October. This is the first time anything unusual has happened. The activity seemed to be centered around our bedroom. Both of us have always had a strange feeling about the bedroom for no reason but I have always wrote it off. Actually - I may sound like I'm going off the deep end but I have always had the nagging thought that something happened in that room that I wouldn't want to know about. For some reason though, my daughter's room feels much more peaceful. About the people that lived there before us, we don't know much about them. They were married with two children and moved to a house after a few years.

We are now staying at my parents' house a few nights. We are kind of scared now and are wondering if we have to move out or if this will be the last time this will happen. Any ideas?

You should definitely talk to the owner/manager of the apartments,  or someone who has been living there for awhile,  especially if it's already driven you out!
         Good luck!

Find out some more history about the place - set up some cameras in the rooms this is taking place!

Sounds to me like a poltergeist, which is not at all uncommon. Have you thought about having the apartment blessed. If you feel at all threatened, do not hesitate to get your family to a safer home. Especially with children, it can leave a lasting impression and sometimes fear in the mind of the innocent.  :s09

I second the movement to get a camera, even a cheap one, in the most commonly affected places. Have it taping pretty often. This will help serve two purposes; it may reveal something that you didn't see before (I had a faulty pipeline in my house that would make a loud animal roaring noise and proceed to shake hideously as plaster fell and things fell off shelves) and also, if this is in fact some form of poltergeist activity, may serve as documented hard evidence. Definitely take this into consideration.

Even if you are staying away for a few days, I still reccomend doing this. If you don't mind my asking, where is the house? You don't have to be too specific, I'm just curious.

poltergiest activity can be terribly frightening . I feel that gathering any background information is a great idea. I also think that any data you can get on the activity could be helpful to others in the same boat.so this would be very important! If you dont feel brave enough to gather evidence get a proffesional in there are some real people out there that no what they are doing but as with any job you want done get references, and of course blessing the house and talking authoritivly to the poltergiest tell it to settle down (please)

p.s. If it helps you feel a little stronger heres  a simple but effective protection spell.

picture yourself surrounded by three white rings of light and repeat three times "thrice around the circles bound , evil sink into the ground"
        good luck

One way to protect the house from anything bad such as the poltergeist is this:

take the branch of a rowan tree and fix it to the roof of the house, the house will then be free of evil and protected for one year.

This will then allow you to deal with the problem and not be bothered by it in the mean time.
