It,s great that someone captured it on video! I know the car is one of the safest places to be in a lightening storm but it would still really freak me out to take a direct hit like that! w00t.gif yes.gif

I remember this from my local News station, took place about half-an-hour from where I live, saw it a couple of years ago. It is an impressive video though. Also have seen a video of a couple of kids walking down a sidewalk, and lightning strikes a few meters ahead, they were unharmed, luckily.

Great timing. I also always film my drives. My particular favorite is “three hour drive to Leeds while raining Vol15” If anyone wants me to upload it ,I’d be happy to oblige. Although unfortunately nothing exciting as a lighting strike happens.

That was amazing. The people filming this may have just been trying to get the lightning effects and got this with it. Good find..
