Alright I havent found a topic about this yet and I wasnt sure where to put this so I put it here.
In Medugorije, Bosnia/Hercegovina, there is a huge stone Jesus statue. From what I know its completely stone and has been there for a looong time.
Now Im from Croatia and I have family there so Ive been there a couple of times and last time I was there (2001) water was coming out of the leg
of the statue. Like there are no holes or anything its just a big stone statue and like the leg is flat but water keeps coming out like you can see it just
pop out of nowhere and drip down. Many people were there when I was there with my family everyone was trying to get some on like a napkin or in
little container and I got to go up there and my Mom gave me this hankerchief thing she got to wipe some on. Now my mom and sister went there again
this year (on June 15th) and when they were there they said it was still coming out and there are still many many people coming from all over the place
to see it.
I have this one picture my mom took this year its not that clear its just the statue. If I can find the picture that I took of it actually like close up and in the daylight
ill post it but all I have for now is this

So I just wanna know has anyone heard of this and what they think it could be haha.
Oh and in the picture there you can kinda see at the bottom on the left leg that someone has there hand there wiping some off.

I've heard of things like this, but not this particular case.

To me, this statue is a reminder to us that Jesus is the living water that quenches all thirst.

"The Samaritan woman said to him, 'You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?' (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans). Jesus answered her, 'If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.' 'Sir,' the woman said, 'you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?' Jesus answered, 'Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'” - John 4:9-14 (NIV)

Something Like Laughter
First time I've heard of a statue of Christ doing something like that, but weeping icons of Mary are not that uncommon.

I just keep thinking of that old saying ' the wolf comes in sheeps clothing'.

hey, your quoting scripture now! thumbsup.gif

well, not exactly word for word. But the saying originates from there, I believe.

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." - Matthew 7:15 (NIV)

Leonardo
It's likely the water is moisture that has been absorbed into the stone and then discharged through a slight fault at the point it appears to 'weep'.

Your picture, looks very interesting, but one doesn't know, how it looks in daylight. You should take a picture, at day, in order we can see it better. At this time, it really looks like Jesus on the cross. Has it been checked, for human intervention? I mean, by a geologist? It should be useful.
You will face, some difficulties, in giving some people to understand what you mean and what you feel. You see, our era, is a little suspicious and rationalist. The important is, how you accept such facts and how they influence, you and the people around you.
By the way, I would like you, to take a look, on a small rock and a site, which I posted in UM, some time before. I also want your opinion,
