Look I'm a Christian myself and i see that our history is very valuable to essentially everyone. But what if "He" in the bible is us? I mean when God created Jesus and etc. can that mean something? I don't want to start a war or flam-a-ton but this seems rather interesting. I do see everyone has a way and chooses a wrong path here and there, and sometimes a good one! Miracles are relevantly there so that we can't see it...but my point is what if? Maybe we did create this world, maybe a time machine exists in the near future that we created this past and it keeps going...I feel like everything is repeating, and i dunno...Guys, what you think?
If you don't get what im saying then the next time when you read the bible, try to replace He (God) with He (a person)....And also I believe that Jesus did exist and wanted to explain how to live so that we won't suffer, maybe we're saving ourselves from something deadly?? lets talk!
We are God breathed. According to the Bible, we are a pile of clay that He breathed life into. The meaning of this is that He took a part of Himself and put it into us, making us born into His image. I understand what you are saying, because the qualities that God has we share with him. The capacity for all kinds of emotions and deep understanding. The ability to love and to hate, to experience joy and sadness... these are all things He does as well. Your statement could be very true if it wasn't for the Fall.
Sjnow has it right. We've sinned and become seperate from God. We're corrupted and tainted and everything we now touch turns to dust. We can't even keep our own religions pure. The only way to get back to where we were is to shed innocent blood to cancel out our sin. Our own blood won't even work for counteracting the sin, it's that diseased. That is why Jesus came. His innocent blood cancels out the debt we owe and covers us, masking us in His righteousness.
In order to share in His righteousness, we have to share in His suffering. We have to die to ourselves, our old sinful natures, and be born again. It is only when we become new creations in Christ that we are truly redeemed. The evidence for this rebirth is the good that starts to come from us, the obedience we have towards the Word. That is when we are usable by God, to do great things in accordance with His will.
So I see what you're saying and I know how you feel. But you can't ignore sin and it's consequences. We have the capacity, the ability to do many of the things that Christ did, but the sin gets in the way. I shiver at the thought of us actually having a time machine, wow how we would screw things up.
