Hello everyone,

For a year now I've been having deja vu but it happens 5 or maybe 6 times a day and lasts for a minute or 2! Usually I wouldn't think much of this because I've had many deja vu expeirences in the past but right now I can see whats happening like a had a dream about it and change what happens.

Ex. Me and my friends were playing tag at my school last year (i was 13) and I was standing there and i got a flash (kind of like a day dream) and I saw myself get tagged from behind... then the flash ended so i took 2 steps left and the person who was it ran right by me!

I dont know if this is a strange form of Deja vu or some sort of ESP but It's happening more often and with school (knowing my marks a minute before i get them and knowing what questions i got wrong and write) Can anyone tell me what this is and either how to control it or how to get rid of it?

I theorize that you are just good at calculating the out comes of what might/will happen without even knowing your calculating them.

I have a somewhat similar "problem" because I have, I guess what one would call visions: I see an image of a place or some action being done from the point of view of my eyes flash before me; In my eyes or in my dream for a second, and I
see the exact same image some were in the course of that year. I have this happen to me about once every couple months.
Arlecchino
Actually that is my problem except mine come faster and it bigger numbers!

Now for the question how can i control it???

we have yet another one claiming to have powers. I wont start in on you Arlecchino. I'll leave it to the others skeptics who are still on holiday. I wish you the best of luck with this thread. thumbsup.gif

Im not saying I have powers nor anything like that I just have vivid dreams that I want either stop or control! i wouldnt call the dreams power I would call it what socol said calculation without knowing it! but it still would be fun to have control over this talent dont you think?

You know it!

Interesting claim. Although I don't think what you have are deja vu's (or vous's?), they are more like visions or what i'd like to term as "precognitive day-dreams". This is where you day-dream of an event that happens in the future or, in your case, in the near future through ESP (extrasensory perception).

Here's one way, that might help you to trigger these visions at will. Try remembering what you had felt and thought of at the time the the vision had occured. For example, try and remember what you saw, tasted, or touched. This is just an example of what you can do to aid in your quest of, what i'd like to call "visions at will".

I'm a little confused Blue-Scorpian. Can you please explain? How is deja vu a precognitive daydream? If the actual moment of deja vu is a precognitive daydream then u would have to have another deja vu experience to change the outcome? Or am I completely misunderstanding?

First of all, you must understand the meaning of a deja vu and my definition of a "precognitive day-dream".

A deja vu, is something that is felt or seen that you think has happened already--if i'm not mistakened. Am i right or am i wrong? Lets see, dictionary check....

Deja Vu: Psychology. The illusion of having already experienced something actually being experienced for the first time.

Precognitive: Knowledge of something in advance of its occurrence, especially by extrasensory perception; clairvoyance.

Therefore this would happen during a day-dream, hence the term "precognitive day-dream"

A precognitive day-dream is different from a deja vu--different but similar in a way.

Make any sense?
sarkypi
grin2.gif almost makes sense to me...I'm not quite there yet...I'm a little slow tongue.gif

Also, I posted this in another deja vu thread, maybe you can offer me some insight. I have a friend who believes that everytime he has a deja vu experience that means he should remember the moments before or after the experience. Have you gained any useful insight from your deja vu experience?
Babs
I can remember what happened before and after my deja vu experience, but it isn't anything out of the 'norm'...how does that help? dontgetit.gif

If remembering would help...you've lost me.There isn't anything that I could do to trigger my experience.I took a vacation and "bingo" there was my deja vu hotel. But, so what?Maybe taking a vacation will trigger an experience....well,yes,as a matter of fact, that's when I have had many of my esp experiences. They say it is the relaxation that does it.'Your mind is free to receive'. huh.gif
sarkypi
All these these years, I've only paid attention to the actual deja vu experience, and then I met someone that pays attention to the moments before and after....He never given me an explanation as to the importance...at least not one that I can comprehend.
On a side note, my friend and I (me?) have had many deja vu experiences. We feel we've known each other in a past life grin2.gif We have talked about it many times.
In fact, we are working on a play right now. During auditions, he would tell me when he had a deja vu moment. original.gif but other than that, I cannot think of a time in my life when deja vu has been so important.
Babs
I really don't know anything about this.I find my, one, experience of 'deja vu', unbelievable! I mean it felt very special.I don't know what it is and I want to find out what it is.It is really exciting to me. w00t.gif

The other day I was driving through an area that I had lived as a child and teenager many years ago.It was dark and rainy and I couldn't see very well. However,I did see a familiar building and the land surrounding that building and I, instantly, 'knew' all of a sudden and felt at home with a feeling of recognition. This familiar feeling came over me.It was as if my 'body' knew where I was, even though, I didn't know the route. The route I was taking was unfamiliar to me,but when I saw this building, I was immediately 'at home' and I thought to myself, this is the exact feeling I had when I saw my 'deja vu' hotel. It was as if my 'body' had been at this hotel before.I knew, intellectually, that I had never been to this place, but it my 'body' recognized it.Does that make sense? This hotel had been in my dream.I swear it was like, I had been there before. It was just like driving on my old 'stomping grounds' the other day.

I don't know what this is...this experience.I said it was a 'deja vu' experience because it sounds like the definition...but does anyone, here, know? I talked to someone about this and he said he thought it might have been an 'out of body experience'.I've never had one of those. huh.gif

I saw this hotel in a dream...can that be an 'out of body' experience? Or, someone on the board, talked about a different 'consciousness' in different bodies........could that be it? dontgetit.gif
Scorpius
Now that I rethink my dictionary definitions of a deja vu and precognition, it seems that they seem to be one like the other.

To clarify that dictionary definition i'd use my analysis.

Deja Vu: Psychology. The illusion of having already experienced something actually being experienced for the first time, [with the sense of uncertainty]

Precognition: Knowledge of something in advance of its occurrence, especially by extrasensory perception; clairvoyance, [with the feeling of cerntainty]

Maybe that addition might help people understand it. Semantics, geesh its complicated. wacko.gif

deja vue is when the brain take's a split second longer to realize something , this can be caused by having to much nueral activity such as when you are stressed working on many diffrent goal's such as multitasking or doing one thing and thinking about another

Student and Alive...

I've read that;that's interesting, but a 'no-go' for me and my experience. That's not what I felt...that's not what happened to me.

What happened to me is more like the definition Blue-Scorpion put out.

My advise is ~~ go with it! Develop it. So you have the power of foresight. thumbsup.gif It only gets better.

Trust me.

How do you develop it without a great deal of effort?...unnatural effort to me sad.gif

That's the deal. You don't develop it by forcing it. If the talent is natural, it will give birth on its own.
