Konami Corporation (CEO: Kagemasa Kozuki) has teamed with Samuel Hadida and his production company Davis Films Sarl to produce a live feature adaptation of the popular horror adventure videogame Silent Hill.
Samuel Hadida is the prolific producer who brough to the screen True Romance directed by Tony Scott and written by Quentin Tarantino, Brotherhood of the Wolf directed by Christophe Gans, Spider directed by David Cronenberg and other famous films. Konami will participate in the production of the film from script supervision, monsters' design and sound creation to accurately recreating the universal appeal of the game. The Silent Hill horror action game will evolve from the small screen to the big screen. |
Full DetailsI think will be cool if they make it as good as the games. Konami is also going to watch the production closely, so I think the director won't venture to far away from what makes the games good.

Well I like the Silent Hill-series a lot. I just hope they don't screw it up totally (Like Resident Evil & Mortal Kombat).

Hi people, new member here.
Ive been pondering on the possibilities for this for a while now. If they took it in the direction on the opening credits for the first silent hill game, going for real suspense in favour of gore (even though the big-wigs at the studios won't listen), this movie would rock if shot in film noir with a strong lead actor, Nic. Cage anyone?

the resident evil movie didnt actually stray as far from the games as ppl think...it did stray, theres no doubting that, but u have to keep in mind, they chose to follow other ppl this time, and their take on it...and personally, i like to think that the hive was just one of the umbrella factories, b-cuz if it was the only one, then the mansions would have no reason to be investigated...and i think this happened b4 n e of the games too...like, maybe thats y stars decided to investigate these disapearances near raccoon city, since there is an umbrella corps there, and they needed sum proof...i hope the new movie and the new game (is it out yet?) dont stray as far as the first movie did...i even noticed some of the games movin away from the original storyline...(code veronica n e one?)
