Dayton, Ohio - The condition of a 3-year-old boy who fell 25-feet Ferris wheel in Dayton, Ohio, reportedly is improving after two days of hospitalization.

The incident occurred Saturday night when somehow the child fell from the ride, landed on cement, and suffered a fractured skull.

He was taken to the Children's Medical Center of Dayton in critical condition, but was doing much better Sunday.

Authorities had launched an investigation into whether the ride had malfunctioned, adding that the Ohio Department of Agriculture would take over since it has the authority to inspect amusement park rides.

It always amazes me to hear how in some cases the human body can survive something so obviously deadly, and then you hear of others who drop dead from a little bump or what seems a simple injury! You just can never predict what the outcome will be! But i,m so glad the little guy will be ok!

So this might have been answered in the article. But what's a 3 year old doing on a ferris wheel that would cause them to fall? I know there's a height requirement. So, gee, his guardian not paying attention to the tyke?

At least I'm not alone in hating them. >.<

I've seen videos of people. Falling off of them. And it's always shocking.
