I start this with I myself was some what born in to this life.
it go all the way to the age of 7 when My great, great granny, Hopi Indian which was known as a seer taught me spells and Tarot reading.
Over the
years I kinda lack off a bit until I had join Uncle Sam's world. there when getting ready to get out after 15 years, I met a Solitary witch that brought me back into it. like I said I have been in it now for 23 years now.
The most happy part about this... All of my family members , husband and kids love that fact that this who I am.. there has never been where I had to hide it. now when I was in the army there was no one talking about it. there I think it was kept to a hush, hush.
\Tell me do anyone have a problem with letting people know that they are a Witch of some sort?

I just figured out that I'm a natural blood witch [Wicca]! So it's always nice to meet a new witch!!! Maybe we can get together some time and talk about spells, since I'm just starting.

Depends on what kind of Witch they are. Mostly they get together under full and new moons stand in circle, call and worship their Gods and Goddesses. They are not that much different from any other religion.

Always great to have another witch around, and one so open. I've been wiccan for about 15 years, solo practitioner for the last 10, sadly, so its always a treat to run across like minds. Would love to compare notes, I find that every area and coven has its own little quirks, and being forcibly solo for so long I tend to take a little away from every Witch I meet!

You might find this interesting, it's a witches bottle i found dated 1500-1600 dug from the foundation of an old cottage it contained nail's bent pins and lots of stuff that just crumbled to dust.

Sorry Mulder, now you know our little secret we Pagans and Witches are just plan folk. It's ok we won't put you in the Wickerman or anything, just don't tell anyone. Witchcraft is not like Harry Potter. It is a spiritual path, which is why I don't like Potter, she took all the spirituality and religion out of it. The magic part is about manipulating energy. I can sometime change what people do to work in my favor or theirs. I am not very good at for telling the future, but I know people who can. I can to astro-projection, but I don't do it very often cause it tires me out, and after you do a few times it's not a big deal. I wish I could manipulate objects cause I would be working on those darn lotto balls.

and im Not talking about wicca, if YOU would do a little research. maybe check some earlier posts. when people talk about being a witch, they dont usually bring up 'oh yeah, were basically a religion though that sits around like any other, talks and worships'. i was talking about the 'witches' that everyone basically knows. the so called 'spellcasting' ones. because if thats being a witch, then im a werewolf. its just a religion, we dont actually change, or can do anything a werewolf does.........but yeah. i am one.

i was unaware of the fact its alot of spiritual things.
and if you can do astro-projection and tell the future, then thats pretty cool. id suggest getting a tv/radio show, would be interesting. people are usually intrigued by what the future may hold for them

The problem with that Mulder is most people that want 'readings' don't really want to know what the future holds for them. They'd much rather hear nonsense like, "oh yes you'll meet a tall dark stranger and visit warmer climes"
That's the path that leads to cold reading and fraudulent 'mediums'.......eeek!

each witch do different things.
Some spend all their time learning their craft others spend little time. because must people know me as a spell work or tarot reader
They come to me for that.

I have been doing witchcraft on and off for about 2 years now, but I find it hard to establish myself into it. Since witchcraft has been in my family for countless generations and my Grandfather is one of the only witches left in the family, I've thought for some time that it is my right and obligation to carry it on. The only problem is that my Grandfather is old now and very bitter after having lost so many family members. I do not enjoy speaking to him if he is going to rag on me for not visiting him as much. I thought he'd be a good mentor, but it seems I'll need someone else to help me with that.

Also, the Witches in my family have practised mixed Gardnerian/Faery/Celtic types of Witchcraft, and I'd like to learn more about those in particular.

I'm a Witch (non-Wiccan, more like Traditional Witchcraft -- Robert Cochrane style). Not solitary, though. I am the HPS of a coven in my neck of the woods. I've been Pagan for about 10 years now.
