Charn Parker: The Stanton Friedman Interview on Sunday August 5, 2007 with host and moderator Sam Willey of AlienationSam.com was an enjoyable 2 hour UFO Radio/ Burnoutmedia.com interview. Anyone who knows little about Mr. Friedman or nothing at all will find this interview enlightening in many areas including rocket propulsion, UFOs, and Betty and Barney Hill. For those who have followed Mr. Friedman for many years and perhaps read his many articles in UFO magazine he really shared nothing new that was surprising. You do hear a complete background of his years in UFO investigation and of his friendship with Betty Hill and his involvement pertaining to Betty and Barney Hill’s abduction in the early years of their going public. He spoke about his latest book Captured: The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience written with Betty’s niece about her famous Aunt and Uncle, although this book is more about Betty:I said to Mr. Friedman on the free call-in Sam allows on his Radio shows,
“Why did Betty not believe in implants and other peoples abductions?”. I told him it came across in the book that if you were not abducted exactly as she and Barney were abducted, then she did not think your abduction was real. He commented, and then also made the statement, which is not in the book, that she was somewhat of a “Queen Bee,” on the UFO circuit during the period in her life when she was touring and sharing her experience.
Hey, Betty was human just like you and me friends, but this book definitely brings out her human side, her ego side, and perhaps being caught up in the recognition she and Barney had gained through their abduction.
Next he gives his thoughts on UFOs which is very interesting coming from Mr. Friedman. He brings up on Sam’s show the endless question that many of us have heard over and over again. How would the public react to an official government announcement that UFOs/Flying Saucers are real and that there are Aliens present in our skies? He mentions that such an announcement would change our belief structure, our way of worship, would probably be such a severe an announcement to many people that they would end up in mental hospitals. This is probably true! It would definitely make liars of those in our many churches and denominations, who have taught that this planet and it’s people are it – there’s nothing else. So Mr. Friedman though admitting himself that “some” flying saucers are real as others have also proclaimed, it is better to keep up the lies, and hold back the truth, because most of us wouldn’t be ready for it.
