Die Hard 4.0 came out down under today and as I`m a massive fan of the previous films I went to see it. It certainly lived up to my expectations, the action was constant and at times jaw-dropping whilst also having a relatively believable story. Bruce Willis is at his best doing exactly what he always does best, his protege, the computer hacker he is protecting also allows for some decent humour and light-heartedness. While it certainly isnt the greatest film ever made it is throughly entertaining and enjoyable, well worth the price of admission and everything you would expect from a Die Hard film. What does everyone else think?

I thought it was ok, but not fantastic. I too like the other films and I'd seen an interview with Bruce Willis where he said he felt this film was more in spirit with the original. As such I think I was expecting a little more than the over-Hollywoodised action fest that it turned out to be. Fortunately I did turn my brain off quickly enough to relax and enjoy the bangs and flashes and there were a lot of good humorous parts.
Oddly the only thing that really bugged me was when one of the characters gets hit by a car going at about 40mph, gets slammed into a wall and just gets up and starts fighting again like nothing happened. Surviving huge explosions - fine. Battle with a F35, no problem. Usual over the top techno babble and Bruce's general indestructibility - ok. But someone getting hit by a car managed to get round my suspension of disbelief field. Hey, I said it was odd.

Unrealistic in nearly every scene, but still enjoyable.

Well I enjoyed it thoroughly, but the company i had with me at the time I saw it was far better than the movie

(for those who dooont know, i saw it with the one and only AztecInca

)
I really did enjoy the film though, it was filled with several HOW could you POSSIBLY survive that!?!? - oh but you did! sort of scenarios, but it was a good joyride!
