No she isnt! She's a bully with an outlet nothing more.

A victim's advocate!! we could go in circles with this all day.

Technically speaking from the L.E. side of things Shankpin is correct. However I find the woman very annoying, too opinionated for her own good and a b****. Just me though.

I admit she's perty darn ruthless- abrasive. But, I have to give it to her for the victim's rights stand point.. just call me messed up as Nancy Grace.. It's all good. :}

She's not a victims advocate. She's a Nancy Grace advocate. And yes she should be sued over that woman committing suicide. She's nothing but sick entertainment just like Judge Judy. They aren't judges or lawyers or even reporters when they are on those shows. It's just sick entertainment just like Cops. The show I mean. They are getting paid for the sick entertainment they provide. She shouldn't be allowed to use any rights a reporter has. Reporters aren't supposed to have opinions they are supposed to report the news, facts.

Nancy Grace is an evil woman who is in bad need of being Laid! Even that might not work.

Umm...considering the fact that she is now a mother, I think it's pretty clear that she has already been "laid".

Why is it okay for Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh and the rest of their ilk to be rude, pompous, and often flat-out wrong--but let Nancy Grace act like anything but a sweet mealy-mouthed little Southern lady and she's a b****?! Talk about "gender bias"!!

I didn't like her at all at first. Once I found out about her murdered fiance, I began to see where she was coming from. Yes, she can be abrasive, but I think she's softened up a lot since the birth of her twins. I think before that she was a desperately unhappy woman. (And NOT for lack of sex!!! Why is that always presumed to be the "remedy" for a woman anyone doesn't like? mad.gif )

And unlike O'Reilly, Rush, etc...she is a lawyer. NOT just an opinionated spewer of biased "facts"!

I don't think she "drove" Melinda Duckett to suicide.

That was Ms. Duckett's own choice--and where is her little boy, anyway? Does anyone here really believe that Duckett was just an innocent bystander while her son disappeared? Why did she throw away his belongings? Why did she refuse to answer any questions? Why did she kill herself? What exactly was she hiding???

If you don't like Nancy Grace, fine. We can agree to disagree.

But personally I think all the name-calling and the "ganging-up" on one person is a little much.

We're not playground bullies--or are we?!

Thank you for saying this. My thoughts exactly.

All I have to say is that I'd like her to have my back in times of trouble. I may be in the minority here too, but I do like listening her give it to people. She is very to the point--too much at times--but for the most part she just tells it how SHE sees it. If she was that bad, she wouldn't even be on the air. Here's a little something to tie the NG bashers over------ she had twins because her hubby wanted two kids and didn't want to **** her twice. There, now is everyone happy now? tongue.gif

If she's giving her opinion than she shouldn't be able to hide behind some law protecting reporters because it isn't a reporters job to give their opinion it's their job to report the facts. And she didn't have any facts she just attacked the woman. No one knows why that woman threw out her childs things. No one knows if she had anything to do with the disappearance. And it wasn't her job to attack that woman. And I don't believe for a minute it had anything to do with her murdered fiance. She did it for ratings. She is evil. And I feel the same way about the men that use these tactics for ratings. Especially Bill O'Rielly. He's nothing but an old pervert. But this is what the American public likes. I guess we're overall in desperate need to watch people treated this badly because it makes us feel better about ourselves.

Thank you for noticing! I try to be on everyone's side in case I change my mind about where I stand with issues (which is usually on an hourly basis! wink2.gif ).

I guess I am alone here, but I watch her every night. She is arrogant, and tends to get abrasive, however she is fighting for the victim's rights, not the so called bad guys. She doesnt take any chit, and gives it out when she listens to some of those narrow minded, money hungry defense lawyers. If you remember, Duckett's baby was never found, and she took that to her grave. Now she is reporting on a 2 yr old from FL, whose mother took her out of her parents house, to bond with her baby, and she has yet to be found. If it werent for Nancy's coverage, many children wouldnt be saved or found. This little one might be dead, good chance. But if Nancy was male, people wouldnt tend to feel so threatened by her. She is a loud mouth, but she has things to say. If a member of my family had a trauma, I would rather her show, over any other..JN

Courage.... She is just a money hungry TV personality with anger management problems exploiting victims and her viewers emotions for ratings....

I won't lie if I had to be stuck in the same room as her I would have a hard time restraining myself from taking her life.... She disgusts me.

Good for you. This is my feeling exactly. She uses the same tactics the prosecutors use in a courtroom when they have no evidence and the cameras are on them and they're looking for fame and fortune only. Then they start screaming about the victims they are trying to "protect" as a reason for attacking some poor slob that can't afford the protection of these so called money hungry defence attornies. They couldn't care less about any victims. For them it's just a way to get money and fame. And that's exactly what Nancy Grace is doing. If she really cared she'd get her fat *** out from in front of the camera and get out there and do some real investigating and help find the child.

IMO. Nancy Grace is full of it. How this woman ever got that job is a mystery to me. She need to be beat to death spork.

I'm coming into this thread late, but this whole case rocked Ocala, Florida. That's where I grew up, and I was not living there at the time this happened, but I can tell you that it was the talk of the town, and no one was happy with Nancy Grace.

I'm a little torn on this one. For one, I have always held Nancy Grace in low regard. She is a bitter cow that is not so much a champion for victims' rights as she is a victimizer, bent on being the judge and jury and ruining people in the court of public opinion before they even get a chance at a fair trial. She has twisted her own personal tragedy into something vile that people eat up because America loves a good spectacle.

Melinda Duckett was never someone overly stable. It's difficult to say whether she would have committed suicide anyway, but while I am not usually one to blame others for someone's suicide, I do feel that Nancy Grace did not help matters. Should she be blamed for the suicide itself? I don't know. This is where I am torn. However, I do feel that Nancy Grace had a part in ruining a very important investigation, and I also feel that airing the interview was irresponsible. I feel too, that this lawsuit is bigger than the Duckett case. It's more about irresponsible media, and while I am not sure that suing is appropriate, I am sure that it is one lawsuit that I would like to see change the face of this sort of reporting because it does tend to hinder the judicial process.
