Hi

This happened a long time ago but i still remember it like it was yesterday,

So basicly me, my brother and cousin were sitting in the dark watching a film as usal
on a saturday night in the U.K.

We have double glazing windows so we can't hear anythink outside but 100% we can
deffentenly hear the police, helicopters and Airoplanes due to the loud noise they make.

We have a very large windows which is 9ft+ long and 5ft+ wide on the side of are kitchen extension.
We also have large patio sliding doors at the end of the kitchen which you can see right through and
view the entire garden.

The sitting area is just before the kitchen extension at the back of are house.

So yeh we all were sitting down with the volume on the t.v set to a minimal low
and all of a sudden a white light flashes from out side off are garden and lights up both
are big windows and patio sliding doors.

There is no noise but just this ultra white light flash that lights up are entire kitchen.

We all saw it and then just looked at each other to insure that we all did see it.
We through it was a helicopter at frist as they are alway searching around for stupid criminals in
are area but there was no helicopter outside as we would have heared it but we didn't.

I jumped of my seat and went to the kitchen area to look for any signs of helicopters but there was
non at all. We looked for any num skull with a camera but we couldn't find any one.

The was nothink out there and we were all shocked and abit scared.

This was not only the frist time this happened but this also happened a second time but this time
it was only me and my brother.

So i'm still trying to figure out what the hell this bright white flash of light could have been.

any idea's ?

An alien mothership. I heard their known to be quite fast and very quiet. Although that sounds far fetched, it's the best thing I can think of.

could be spirits crossing over to the other side some people can see the light they travel through.

I had a similar experience just 2 weeks ago, ofcourse during our summer vacation we were just kicking it outside the front yard after a walk around the school. It was like 10 at night, my cuzzin's neighborhood is newly built, yea those rich look alike houses, well we were just kicking it while me and my cuzzin saw a white flash about 5 houses away. It looked like a lightning, it lit up the sky....just 5 houses away, me and my cuzzin looked at each other to make sure we both saw then , we ask did you see? yea what was that, then my other cuzzing turned around and said what. since his head was turned our way during the flash he didnt see it. Yea i wonder what it was but I give up cus ill never find out. It looked like a lightning without no thunder. And it was a calm, warm, summer night.

My first thought was lightning. Was it stormy or cloudy outside?

That's pretty strange though. When it happened the second time, was it in the same place?

The most weird part was that the sky's were clear and you could see the stars etc..

The second time it happened it was in the same place and again the same scenario.

I had 2 very similar experiences...

The first time I was laying in bed watching a movie, and outside of my window the sky lit up bright bright white. At first I thought it was lightning, but when the light stayed for about 5 seconds I threw that idea out the window. I went next door to my mom's room to see if she had seen it, and she had. Seconds later, the entire house shook and there was a very very deep rumble coming from outside, almost like thunder, but not quite. It ended after that and I didn't think much of it. Found out the next day that a meteor of good size had flown over and had landed in Lake Superior (I live in Ontario Canada) I'm guessing that the rumble/boom was a sonic boom caused by the meteor breaking the sound barrier.

The second time, I was driving my drummer home from band practise at about 11:00pm. It was partially cloudy out, and the same thing happened... the sky lit up a bright bright white and stayed lit for a good 5 seconds or so. As it was lit up, I looked out of the windshield up at the clouds, and in a break in the clouds I saw the meteor fly over, a very very bright ball of what appeared to be white flames moving very quick. There was no rumble this time, but I was in a car and had music on, so maybe i just didn't hear it.

What you said happened sounds a lot like the experiences that I had, the first one I had no clue what was happening until i heard the next day that it was a meteor and the second time I knew exactly what was going on, though my drummer had no clue... he was freaking out a little bit until i told him what it was. Anyways, hope this helps.
