I don't think it is allowed on this forum to ask for help on learning such 'abilities'. Welcome to UM, and I hope you find what you are looking for thumbsup.gif.

Alchemy was the precursor to modern Chemistry. I'd suggest taking a class in Chemistry first to learn the real basics. Once you understand basic Chemistry you can go and check out some of the things people believed in the past and see how such beliefs were either supported or refuted.

Hi there, Alchemy is a collective term for ancient science. It comes from the Arabian root al-Chema, which can be translated either as Egypt (where the Arabs got their original notion of science) or as Science.

There are various fields in Alchemy, wherein I suspect you would be interested in the "Guild of Traveling Quacks" variety, i.e. the philosopher's stone and the transmutations.

Please experiment as much as you want with it, but I can assure you that most of it is just a pocket-player's trick.

i think someone is watching Full Metal Alchemist... and wanted to try some..

I would start by googling Alchemy. Then once you begin reading about Alchemy start googling the names of people you find in the Alchemy articles. That's the way I started with physics and now I'm like a super scientist. If it weren't for all that stuff that looks like Greek Notation I'd be like a super super scientist. innocent.gif

It just amazes me how people like to use words that no one understands.

Wow, really? I had no problem understanding what chemical_pyro had to say. Sure, there might not be any periods, but it's easy to spot where they might go since the grammar IS pretty good. To put it in baby terms, this poster wants some help and advice in learning alchemy. If you really want to be so picky, Mostar, check your signature - it's spelt wrong.

Sorry I can't help, chemical_pyro. I haven't the foggiest notion about alchemy and have always been really bad at chemistry. But I agree that getting to know the basics of chemistry first, in your pursuit of the knowledge of alchemy, is very wise advice.
