People do Christian witch, but I can't figure out how they reconcile the differences. Most witches worship at least two God/desses. To each his own I guess.

Here's an answer out of ignorance. Witchcraft was forbidden in the 613 mitzvot, so, since Christians don't follow all of the 613, why should they keep this one? As a Christian I was trying to perfect a way to do Christian magic. Nothing worked as efficient as my former practices. But, now that I am a Chassid, prohibition of magic is a law I choose to follow.

I cannot vote in this poll. Why is it that a Christian must needs be afraid of witches and wiccans? I am a Christian, and given the choice I would choose Christianity over wicca/witchcraft every time - I cannot turn my back on my God. But I do not fear witches and count some amongst my friends (probably closer friends than many of my Christian friends at church).

I voted pagan but I think the choices were a tad limited really. If someone says they are a satanist christian pagan allah worshipper, I'd be hard pressed to say they aren't. Of course there are some christians who think that witches are evil etc. and reading Harry Potter is an express ticket to hell but those thankfully are fewer.
Thing is I LLLOOOOVVEEE the smell of diversity in the morning, and all pagans aren't witches and all witches aren't pagan. There are many combinations out there, more than all the menu choices at a Starbucks. I think there needs to be a poll where you can check more than one box.

And all I could think was... man, I worked for starbucks when there were only 4 choices... Almond, vanilla, hazelnut and mocha... if you kissed my butt, I might have been inclined to make ya an almond mocha. haha.

I vote neither, but I don't consider paganism stinky.
I'm very attracted to witchcraft, paganism and always seem to end up with pagan friends- or they find me.
The shoe definitely fits but for some reason I don't want to get caught up in it so I'll stay an observer. I feel like i belong with Pagans,Deists and Agnostics. Many are creative, humorous and adventurous, so i surround myself with creative people, whether arts, music, dance, design etc. Some are a little too far out for me and many don't have the powers they seem to think they have.

Picked pagan cause that's what I am. But I think that christian witch should have been up there as a choice it would have been interesting to see how many would choose it.
Well it has been several years since I belonged to a particular forum which I will not mention the name of for reasons you all may be able to guess. One of the issues I had with the forum was actually this very topic (I kind of got tired of defending the Christian witches all the time and being accused of being a fluffy bunny for it). There are a great many pagans/witches/wiccans that do not believe it is possible to be a christian witch (although really I think they were just a little offended by the concept since christianity has borrowed a lot from paganism over the years). The forum was predominantly pagan with a smattering of "mixed belief witches" and from what I recall it is possible.
Now as to how it would be much in the same way that it is possible for any christian to believe or take part in practices which are mentioned as no no's in the bible. I mean the bible says a lot of things should be done that christians no longer do (the bits about slavery and such) and it bans a lot of things that some christians see as OK in present day. In reality Christian paganism is not so far fetched a belief system. They still pray to the same god and they still hold the same core beliefs, their methods of worship is the only thing that differs somewhat.

This poll was totally unusable!
If you HAD TO choose like the poll question makes clear, then choosing "neither" or "I don't know" shouldn't been there because the poll says if you HAD TO choose.
I was going to put "neither" but "neither" actually said something like "neither, they both stink" and I don't think the Wiccan spirituality stinks at all. So I couldn't choose that one. This made me think I shoud go ahead and choose "I don't know", but the poll question said I must choose between Wiccan and Xstian.
By this time, I was so disturbed by this contradictory and ill-worded poll that I took violently ill and had to be revived with smelling salts. When I opened my eyes, the room was spinning and filled with a shimmering blue mist and after a few seconds I became aware of a presence that seemed to be sitting with me, just behind me and to my right. This presence matched every move I made and it almost seemed like it was part of me, but outside of me.
It was this other presence that moved my mouse and clicked the "Wicca" checkbox.

Whoaa...so your like REALLY advanced in your italiano then...thats so cool...yeah, Polish does the gender thing...i just love the way the words sound, many words start with a kinda "psh" noise (not spelt like that)...it has a russian flavour, but is less harsh sounding in my view...one day...i'll probably pass through there when i go travelling in three years

yeah, thats the same as what i chose, i interpreted dont know as a statement unto the self...it can not be described, so there is no "knowledge" of it in the word sense...we really can not know it in the mind sense...or rather what we claim to know is not actually "it". hahaha...just a bit of fun word play though hey

I don't know that I myself could give you an adequate answer...for I do not practice the two as one myself. But there are various websites of the combining of Wicca and Christianity.
I think it falls into something along the lines of interpretation of what witchcraft was in the day the bible was written. Again I'm possibly talking out of my bum, I'm not as educated about it as some. Maybe I'll talk to my girlfriend who does in fact do both...then maybe i can come back with a more personable and informative reply.
