The interflúvio (region between rivers) with about 40 million hectares, represents less than 5% of the Amazonian forest, but in only two trips the scientists had found at least four new species of birds, three of mammals and some sets of ten of unknown arachnids. The material, collected between April and May and, later, in July of this year, shows a biodiversity threatened for occupation plans.

Its quite a pretty yet strange looking bug.

Indeed very interesting place. And every singla place on the face of Earth is threatened. Humans are like virus, they consume resources until its depleated then move along.

The ILEAGAL deforstment of amazon was reduced 25% this year. The government believes it will drop gradually now, new laws and many many protection efforts are being made.
The problem is that EVERY one want the spoils of the RAIN FOREST.
