We have been discussing that in the Spirituality vs Skepticism forum .... not everybody is convinced, mostly because there is no confirmation of the British Museum... but if you have something good I guess they would love to see it.

I see that this thread may very well be merged with a thread on the Spirituality vs Skepticism forum.

I'm not sure it's realistic to expect a confirmation from the British Museum. The British Museum is an institution that preserves artifacts, protects them, and makes them available to scholars. In a way, it's like a library. Would you expect a library to confirm the literary analysis of one of its books? No. That is not their function. The function of museums is curatorial. Analyzing the artifacts housed in a museum is the job of research scientists, NOT curators.

Has the British Museum ever issued confirmation of someone's research? My bet would be "no". If I'm wrong I'd appreciate someone's showing me an actual example.
