I think Melbourne and the Aussie Open committee did a great job with this year's Aussie Open. It can only get better.
My prediction for the Men's Final...Novak in 4 sets.

It is. But the kick is crazy. A kick serve is killer on clay, especially if you can kick it out to their backhand.

And Tsonga is and must be very happy coz i personally doubt he will ever reach the quarterfinals again on any Grand Slam in his career.
If Tsonga does ever make it the the Quarters, it will be at the Aussie again. The Plexicushion surface rewards the hard, flat hitters.
Awww Bean, here in MI, everything is asphalt (hardcourt), so I only get to play clay in Florida. It is fun, especially when I can throw a kickserve out wide and get an ace almost everytime.
But for groundstroke winners, hardcourt is definitely the best IMHO.
