So like...Its a long video, but it's so interesting...I hate them as well, so I could understood why this family (the Phelps) which upholds the WBC is hated.

OK, I've only watched a minute and a half and I'm already pissed....it's one things for the mother to believe that, but to push the belief that all gay people should DIE onto her children? That is %%%%ed up. They were singing God hates the USA, and protesting Marine funerals? Wow.....I bet by the time I watch this whole thing I will have a 5 page rant on these people....

There's this one part towards the middle where the BBC guy asks the little kids if they understand what their mother is teaching them. And they said no. And the mom got alll angry and was telling them her whole fag nation propaganda. Then the little boy sarted talking about how he hates fags too, and the mother smiled and was all happy. Then the BBC guy was like "So your not even gonna let them decide for themselves about it? Your just going to indoctrinate them with what you believe?" And she was like "We have to raise our child for God" and some other BS. I hope some of her sons turn out gay because of her evil treachery to humanity.

I couldn't watch more than a minute... that is HORRIBLE! God does not hate homosexuals. Christians should not hate homosexuals. People should not hate each other. How could people be this way? I am appalled, embarrassed, and ashamed to be put in the same category as christians who teach and behave this way. I am a christian. I was married to a homo. I do NOT hate him, or anyone else who struggles with sexual identity. I believe God does not desire us to behave this way and offend other people so cruelly, so I apologize to anyone on this forum who sees this family and is hurt by it. Well, i know you don't like some of my stuff i write, but i do have to agree with you, not only do they disrespect people to the point in hounding them at their funerals, what they say about people who are different sexuality from them is horrorable.

One, it's none of their business who has sex and sharing with whom, they seemed to be mostly female on the lower end of looks though, probably scared some poor guys into having sex with other prettier males{where their anger comes from}

I did catch the news on t.v. about them awhile back, and the interview where the guy rightly told her she and her family are sick. Whatever my own thoughts about different groups when i write, i would never disrespect them in a public format, thats what the internet is for. Get it all out, and then carry on decently when your in public.

Especially that they force the 7 year old children to do that, and they don't even know what it means, the little boy basically said that he had no idea what any of it meant, but did it because his parents told him too. so horrible.

There is nothing specific in the bible about homosexuals beyond the phropets own prej. when they mention unseemly behavior between males. The other books that are missing where the one's that condoned it, thats why their missing. The prej. editing of those who did'nt like it.

It's hard to believe that this group feels as if they're doing the world a favor... "they're being considerate", one said.

I sensed a very angry heirarchy. The children, oh my, they have no idea what's going on. The teen and teen+ girls...WHAT????? omg...just lunacy. The one girl (in the blue Italia shirt towards the end) was SOOOO laughing through her pain. This was so obvious.

The way they choose to present their beiefs is quite skewed. I don't see how they can really think by what they're doing people will hear them out. It's like attack mode. Who wants to be attacked?? There are so many different ways to make a statement and this cult has chosen the wrong way IMO.

I felt some pity towards the end. Bizarre. I don't want to be the first to cast a stone here. I am in no way worthy to judge another human being. Who knows, maybe they will be the only 70 to go to heaven... Wouldn't that be crazy?

Okay, Fred Phelps is either completely nuts or he is completely evil. It all stemmed from him and onto the other generations. The youngest children should be yanked out of that family and put in foster homes. I can admit that they do have regular family activities like hanging around and having fun, but when it comes to their beliefs all of these good things in their lives are poisoned.

Well, I just got done watching the video and the only thing I feel is pity. This is a perfect example of people who only focus on one aspect of God. They did a good job of demonstrating God's hate towards sin, but completely lack showing His love for the sinner.

I can't help but wonder if they'll picket Shirley or Fred's funerals when they die.. Wait, no, they're perfect, right? Just hope its soon... these people make me sick. What about "judge not"? I am a Christian, and what these people are doing is EVIL! God does NOT hate homosexuals! He loves all his children period! The only thing God hates is Evil ! That is what God himself said, his children are all sinners, we all make mistakes and he knows that is our nature, But he sent his son to die for our sins because he does love us all! And the act of sinning is not evil, it,s just human! God instructs his children to hate only evil not each other! What these people are doing is loving the evil they are spreading! They have twisted Gods words as so many have done and commiting not just a sin against God and their fellow human beings, They are commiting evil crimes in his name! They can call themselves anything they want, but they are not obeying or living the truth of Gods word! They have been decieved by the evil they so love and seem enraptured by spreading! They will be judged like everyone else and i think they will be in for one HELL of a surprise as they will see those they are condemming being welcomed into heaven while they themselves are turned away if they don,t stop this and repent in a really big way!
They live in a country where they have the right to think, believe,worship and speak freely and they choose to freely hate! Thats fine because God says we should all have the right to choose freely! IMO, They have chosen evil and hate over God and country not to mention they have NO love or compassion for their fellow human beings!

I was just thinking this same thing. Can you imagine what other parents have to talk to their own kids about concerning this family and their children? And how that will effect their social and scholastic safety?

I too can't imagine why someone hasn't stepped in to take these kids away...this is just awful...

here is the sad part -- statistically one of their kids/family members is gay. I can't imagine the screwed up mind that person has now. ( other than believing what filth Phelps preaches to begin with)


ps - there is a silver lining of sorts. Because of the pure insanity that is Westboro , it does help open peoples eyes to bigotry and how gays and lesbians are treated in America. It helps our 'agenda' , you know , wanting equal rights that everyone else has. those so called 'special' rights .

God doesn't hate evil either because he is the author of it. the author of all since all serves God's purpose. Humanly we may hate such an action , but in some way we don't understand it has a place. it's a puzzle piece in God's puzzle. Maybe it is an exaggerated mirror to our own faces.

I don't have to understand or agree humanly but spiritually I know all serves Gods purpose . - that goes for bin laden , bush , and Phelps to the most loving person , the most giving and understanding and patient person you know.
That is the problem with 'religions' , they make God human. With the same reactions humans would have , but if one were honest that could never be. Gays will be in heaven just as Phelps will. Bin laden will be just as Bush will. If you believe God has a plan and a purpose , the creator of all and all knowing , then there can be nothing less.
Since less than that makes God less than which would be imperfect. God is not human nor 'think' as one.

I was just reading a NY paper ( the times ?) on the subject of how man shaped God to fit his needs.

Why would God get jealous ? if God is all knowing then there is nothing to get jealous about. Insecurity causes jealousy. would you call God insecure? if God was then God wouldn't be much of a God. Why would God get angry if all goes according to Gods plan ? there is nothing to be angry about.

I don't believe God is the author of evil. Evil is the lack of God. God didn't create sin, he created the opportunity to sin. He had to create this opportunity in order to give us a choice. Without choice we have no free will.

Jealousy is what you feel when you want what you don't have. God gets jealous because He wants everyone but not everyone is willing to give themselves to Him.

I think that God and humans are more similar than you think, we were made in His image. The biggest difference between the two is that God doesn't have the limits that we do. He is omnificent, omnipotent and omniscient. That is why we need to trust in His Word and His judgement.

What about their protesting in general? Don't you find some of their signs to be a little abrasive? I know I wouldn't want my son walking down a street seeing some moron holding a sign that said "gays eat poop."
