A woman who went shopping at an Asda store in the West Midlands found £15,000 in cash on the floor near a checkout.

Grandmother Sue Newey was Christmas shopping at the store in Great Bridge when she spotted what she thought was a bag of rubbish.

The 52-year-old found the money inside and immediately handed the cash over to shop staff.

It has now been claimed, says The Sun.

Sue said: "I could hardly believe my eyes. It was in piles as big as house bricks. I'd never seen so much cash before in my life.

"I'm a widow and I'm as short of cash as everybody else at this time of year. But I would not have dreamt of keeping something that was not mine."

Sue, of Oldbury, said she'd had a call from somebody claiming to be the man who lost the money. "He thanked me very much and said he would be in touch in the New Year," she added.Ananova

Honest won't always get you a deserving reward
but it sure beats going to jail.
