A few links to the story in question. As the description says, this story is old (The 70's, to be exact tongue.gif) but its still worth looking over. I mean, frankly, I DON'T believe in the Loch Ness Monster and never will, however, this seems more interesting, even though I'm still skeptical about it. The question is this, when it comes down to it; does it really look like a decomposed basking shark, as so many scientists determined back when it was discovered?

I'm not sure, but... Looks yucky. I kinda wanna poke it.
Uh-Oh
Why is it when we see gross things we always want to poke them? laugh.gif

It really doesn't look like a basking shark to me, but considering that it is rotting, bits and pieces have probably fallen away or been eaten so it really isn't going to look like what it used to anyway.

I don't think that it looks anything like a shark. I just think that it's just another statement from scientist working for the government. I am serious they come up with the most stupidest crap for there explanations. I am quite sure that after they come up with crazy crap like that they go out and have a beer and laugh it up.

I just kind of wonder whether it would feel scratchy or squishy. alien.gif

Haha, yeah, I know what you mean. I mean, even though I know my eyes are completely uninformed, it just doesn't look like even a decomposed shark to me. One of the rationalizations behind that theory is that apparently one of the pictures shows a dorsal fin...but where is this supposed dorsal fin? Maybe I'm just not seeing it but if so, can anyone maybe point out where this dorsal fin is located?
