Someone posted this on another website I visit and among the members it was interesting to see what our personality types are.

I notice that I tend to get really involved in pushing the debate when it comes to a person's own reality and I think that's because I'm introverted in how I think and the reality of the person matter's more than the reality of the world in a sense to me. I consider that sacred ground.

Anyway I'm curious how others would come across. Click on the link and follow the information to the test.

ed: did not know you also wanted the multiple intelligence
MissMelsWell
I've done this test a lot of times. Depending on my day it always comes out one of two ways. This was today's (it was one of "those" days at work. haha):

ESTJ - The "Overseer"

ESTJs are responsible, logical, norm-following hard workers. Their efforts are carried out in a practical, structured manner. ESTJs trust facts and experiences more than theories. They are decisive, loyal, tradition observing individuals. They enjoy being the person in charge and often make good supervisors.

linked-image

The other one it comes out to is ESTP. It seems to be about 50/50.

ESTP:
ESTPs are action-loving, "here and now" realists with excellent people skills. Informal, risk-taking, fast-paced and adaptable, they are not always in agreeance with rules and regulations. They are tactical problem solvers that desire quick results. ESTPs, who present a friendly and enthusiastic face, are straightshooters that are able to handle criticism.

Either way, I'm a realist that likes efficient results. Not too suprising. haha.

I'm serious, it's proven scientific fact.

"INTPs live in the world of theoretical possibilities. They see everything in terms of how it could be improved, or what it could be turned into. They live primarily inside their own minds, having the ability to analyze difficult problems, identify patterns, and come up with logical explanations. They seek clarity in everything, and are therefore driven to build knowledge. About the INTJ Expert Quotes & Links

"...approach reality as they would a giant chess board, always seeking strategies that have a high payoff, and always devising contingency plans in case of error or adversity."
- The Portrait of the Mastermind Rational (iNTj) (Keirsey)

"...observer, values solitude, perfectionist, detached, private... does not talk about feelings, hard to impress, analytical, likes esoteric things..."
- Jung Type Descriptions (INTJ) (similarminds.com)

"To outsiders, INTJs may appear to project an aura of "definiteness", of self-confidence. This self-confidence, sometimes mistaken for simple arrogance by the less decisive, is actually of a very specific rather than a general nature; its source lies in the specialized knowledge systems that most INTJs start building at an early age. When it comes to their own areas of expertise -- and INTJs can have several -- they will be able to tell you almost immediately whether or not they can help you, and if so, how."
- INTJ Profile (TypeLogic) "At work, INTJs use their conceptual strengths to analyze situations and then develop models to understand and anticipate through relentlessly to reach their goals. They will continue on with their plans, even in the face of adversity and data that might suggest to other more practical types that their goals are no longer feasible. By nature, INTJs are independent individualists."
- INTJ - The Free-Thinker (Lifexplore)

"INTJs are natural leaders, although they usually choose to remain in the background until they see a real need to take over the lead. When they are in leadership roles, they are quite effective, because they are able to objectively see the reality of a situation, and are adaptable enough to change things which aren't working well. They are the supreme strategists - always scanning available ideas and concepts and weighing them against their current strategy, to plan for every conceivable contingency. "

OK, I think I counted 8 or 9 INTPs already. According to most studies, INTPs make up about 1% of the total population, although in certain specific groups the percentage increases significantly, like among scientists and academicians.

INTPs are interested in learning and any new thing that comes along that involves a process catches their attention, so either we've already captured the total population of INTPs in UM or there's something about UM that attracts INTPs.

My theory is that forums attract INTPs, the fact that it's interaction at a distance appeals to our introvert nature (I), the fact that there are all sorts of debates and discussions going on appeals to our intuitive (N) and thinking (T) sides and the fact that most of these topics are about issues outside of the "normal" really appeals to our perceiving (P) nature... I would love to hear anyone else's thoughts on this.

And before you go arguing that maybe there are actually more INTPs around than 1%, let me tell you that I will reject that immediately... I like being special tongue.gif

I am also a female and an INTP. It is very interesting that it is rare but yet there are so many on this sight. It makes sense considering INTP's are very curious about things, they like the unknown because it allows for them to try and figure it out, develop theories about it, try to find answers, etc.
I don't entirely agree with this classification for me because I really am not a logical person. I make personal decisions based on my intuition, emotion and ultimately my heart but when it comes to issues of how things work or how they are created I rely on science and scientific theory so I guess it is double-sided. As far as the other characteristics I would have to say it is pretty accurate for me - especially about being curious people have always told me I should be a journalists because I ask so many questions.

ENFPs are introspective, values-oriented, inspiring, social and extremely expressive. They actively send their thoughts and ideas out into the world as a way to bring attention to what they feel to be important, which often has to do with ethics and current events.
