I wrote this as a kid. Basically this is my view from behind a childs eyes in the midst of the Iraq war.
Im 30 yrs of age now, with my own children, I'ts still sad to think that another mothers babies are being detroyed by war.
I put my thoughts together, from what I saw in the media and from what I had learnt at school.

How did you feel as a youngin about war and how were you affected by this?

.WAR.

I can hear the planes roar past, really load speeding fast.
My families hungry, the baby to,
I cant move or they'll shoot.

My head is scared my heart is strong,
hopefully it wont be long.
I hear the women in the street,
screaming crying as they weep.

For the men that they love,
now there gone like a dove.
When will all the fighting stop,
one by one they drop.

Dirty misty street outside,
how much longer do I have to hide.
Its because the man who made,
the war come Suddam Insain.

Atanerpmav, I'm sorry it has taken so long for someone to kindly respond to your poem, an oversight on my part for sure. I think you really captured the reality of war through a child's eyes, and the sorrow and pain of war as well. Beautifully written, sincerely tragic.
